aylor is an active member of the community in Ladner, a 4th generation “Ladnerite,” Airbnb super host, Real Estate Investor & Advisor. She is known for her community connections, strong work ethic, and deep Ladner roots. Taylor has a remarkable ability to uncover “smart investing” and amazing opportunities in both the local & international real estate market for her valued clientele. For the last 6 years, Taylor has been awarded the Medallion Club status as well as Elite status with Macdonald Realty - one of BC’s most reputable agencies.

Taylor had already sold and purchased multiple properties before starting her real estate career. She knew the gap in the market and what she wanted to offer as an advisor. Working with Taylor will give you a boutique, full-service, hands-on experience from start to finish. Keeping her client’s interest as number 1, Taylor treats each transaction as if it were her purchases and guides Sellers & Buyers on exactly what is needed to make their home stand out from the rest. As a Seller, the goal is to showcase your property to its absolute best - this will ensure fewer days on the market and more money. For each transaction, Taylor works with a “what would I do if this were me” approach. Whether that is decluttering the home with numerous trips to the landfill/goodwill, to full staging/res-designs and/or making small tweaks where they’re needed. We can’t forget about the lawn care and curb appeal, to hiring the best media companies in the business for photographs/videos/mini reels and targeted SEO ads to truly set you apart. Taylor knows the importance of putting your best foot forward, especially in a social media world, as Buyer(s) decide in 30 seconds whether your property is for them or not. As an active real estate agent, homeowners & investors continue to seek out Taylor’s marketing, professionalism, and guidance to assist in selling their most important investments. In today’s real estate market, it is crucial to put your absolute best foot forward out of the gate, thinking out of the box & being guided by a real estate advisor that can ensure you are set for success.

As a fourth-generation “Ladnerite” I know the ins and outs of our community.

Let’s decide together if this market is for you and come up with a tailored marketing plan to get your home sold for top dollar.

ow lucky am I to live and work in such an amazing community; the vibrant, caring community of Tsawwassen.

As a born and raise Richmond girl, I first found my way to Tsawwassen in the early 90’s. I then left to pursue my passion within the airline and hotel industry in Toronto. I was fortunate to work with the best airline ever “Wardair” then on to manage one of the premier entertainment hotels in Toronto. After close to 30 years of traveling the globe and meeting every famous person I could ever dream of, it was time to come home, home to Tsawwassen.

Let’s head back to the December 1960 pages of the Optimist.

It has been my privilege to assist Gayle Butnick, owner of Boutique Blanche & Intimates at Boutique Blanche as her Store Manager. We all know Gayle’s story, with over 30 years in the business, Boutique Blanche is and will continue to be a much loved institution here. At Boutique Blanche, I have the honor of working with the most incredible team of women, our Force de Fem. When you walk into our stores you become an extended member of our family. We prove once again that when women support and encourage one another, incredible things can happen. We want women to dance out of our stores feeling beautiful beyond description. This isn’t a difficult task when you put together our stellar sales team working with our most treasured customers, it just clicks. In business you learn people will forget what you say, forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel and everyone deserves to feel good which is our mission at Boutique Blanche and Intimates at Boutique Blanche.

A front page story featured Mr. and Mrs. William E. Tamboline of Westham Island being chosen by the Delta Board of Trade to receive that year’s Good Citizen Award. The presentation would be made at the board’s 50th anniversary dinner in the Ladner high school auditorium, an event attended by hundreds. At that time, seven well-known Delta citizens were honoured as Good Citizens since the board of trade started making the recognition in 1951. John Gibson, a former president of the board and member of council, was the first honoured in 1951. The board, later known as the Delta Chamber of Commerce, did

not choose a Good Citizen every year. Instead, the board made the recognition only when a noteworthy recipient had been found. The Tambolines were the first couple to receive the award. George Massey was a recipient the year prior. The others who received the award were Smith Wright, Mrs. E.R Bell, Ted Taylor, Clarence Cooper and J. Percy Smith.

In 1969, the “kidnapping” of a school bell from Delta Secondary was the talk of the town. A group of bold DSS students were behind the caper. The old bell was once used on the steam locomotive that ran from Surrey to Port Guichon and later at Central School from 1926 until 1938. It was in storage in the DSS attic waiting to be donated to the Delta Historical Society so it could be rung by Premier

The ransom for the bell was paid. Principal Gordon Rogers noted he was glad it was not a real act of vandalism but wondered how the students removed the heavy bell. According to DSS, everyone came out ahead because the ransom demand focused attention on the need for new textbooks.

Part of this was the decision to remain an independent office in a market increasingly populated by manufacturer-owned hearing clinics that carry a single product line. “One of the best ways I’ve found to serve our clients,” explains Mark, “Is to carry hearing aid models from across all the major manufacturers. This means we always have access to the latest technology, regardless of brand; it also gives me the flexibility to be discerning about the products I recommend.” It’s an approach that clearly resonates with people. Tsawwassen Hearing Centre has just been recognized in the Delta Optimist’s Readers’Choice Awards as the ‘Best Hearing Clinic in Tsawwassen and Ladner’for the sixth time.

y name is Dr. Lisa Ghent. I’m a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND), and I’ve been practicing in South Delta for over 8 years. In 2019, I opened Collaborative Wellness, an integrative health clinic on the top floor of iconic Johnny’s Corner. It’s been a dream come true to be located in the heart of Ladner Village. Despite the pandemic hitting before we had been open for less than a year, we’ve continued to grow and thrive. We’re just finishing off renovations at a second location (just across the parking lot!) which will double our capacity, and allow me to start up The IV Experience, a dedicated intravenous vitamin and mineral business, including the ability to offer iron infusions. During Dr. Lisa Ghent - Founder the pandemic, I also completed training to be a Sexual Health Educator along with a friend (who is also a Registered Nurse). We started a company called Swell Collective (Swell = sexual wellness), and what we do is provide accurate, inclusive, and sex-positive education to people of all ages. In fact, we taught all the sex ed for DSS last school year! I love my job and feel so incredibly grateful to do what I do every single day. I tell patients that my job is to make them feel their very best, using the best of all the options available. The foundation of how I approach medicine is learning the whole story of a person. As humans, we are more than the sum of our parts, and my approach to healing is reflective of this belief. While there is a time and place for symptomatic management, most of the time people feel better, faster we approach the case holistically. Stay tuned! I plan to be supporting this community for many years to come.

I

n my early 20s, I battled with my self-worth, which really hindered me from creating the future I aspired to. My life took a transformative turn when I was introduced to a personal development course. I remember thinking – if I could help just one person experience the same freedom I did, my life would be extraordinary! I earned my business degree and embarked on my coaching career. Through our collaboration, my clients break through barriers hindering their desired relationships and life. They gain the confidence to navigate challenging conversations, cultivate deeper connections in their most important relationships, and exceed their expectations in achieving results. Whether you aspire to be a better leader in your personal life, business, team, or organization, feel free to reach out for a complimentary consultation. I’ll listen attentively to guide you toward your next best steps. “Vicki can best be described as my legendary coach Phil Jackson. She was a key player for helping me lead negotiations for the biggest project opportunities I have worked on to date. I cannot thank you enough - you are truly the best!”
