A Unique Approach to Learning
Uniquely Effective Study Method
At Delphian School, we have found that students fail to learn because they have never been taught how to learn. We use a uniquely effective study method that allows a person to learn any subject successfully. This Study Technology™ was developed by American writer and educator L. Ron Hubbard.
Study Technology does not involve minor things like study tips or memory tricks. It is an applied understanding of the learning process itself. Study Technology explains why some students are motivated and some aren’t. It teaches the early warning signs that result in a student’s inability to understand, apply and recall a subject they studied.
Memorizing is not learning; being able to use what you studied is.
By understanding how to learn and what specific barriers get in the way, Delphian students discover that any lack of success in learning can be traced back to causes they can control—every time.
All students attending Summer at Delphian will gain familiarity with Study Technology and learn how to apply it in their studies. Through its use, the world of knowledge becomes fully accessible, and any young person, no matter their interests and abilities, discovers their potential for success is unlimited.

Fun, Challenging and Personalized
Every student arrives at Summer at Delphian in a different place academically—ahead, behind, or most commonly, a combination of both. Delphian embraces these differences by working individually with each student to map out a detailed study plan to help them catch up, get ahead, remedy a tough subject or immerse themselves in a favorite one.
Students work independently within a structured classroom environment while their teachers provide expert help and advice — guiding and providing resources when needed. Drawings, clay models, and laboratory or real-life applications are used frequently.

English Immersion
Since 1980, thousands of international students have attended Summer at Delphian, where intensive English instruction is offered in beginning, intermediate, and advanced English classes.
When learning a new language, there is nothing more boring than a textbook. The purpose of language learning includes connecting with others, making new friends, and exchanging ideas. This is best done while immersed in the action of communication in the science lab, on the playing field, in the art room, hiking in the hills, or building a raft. All these activities have a “living” vocabulary.
Delphian’s immersive, dynamic English language program is the key to really being able to communicate.
