project brief

Your client has provided an area 25m x 25m and would like a play space for children aged between 2 – 12 years old. They would like strong, durable equipment that offer a wide variety of play experiences for all interests similar to what is found on local parks. The client would be happy for there to be a theme to the play space but this is not essential. There is a maximum height limit of 4m.

Using the on-line equipment catalogue provide a sketch/plan/mood board clearly itemising a maximum of 8 play products you would recommend and a proposed layout. Consider the positioning of the items and any proposed pathways, furniture or landscape feature you would also recommend.

The park encorporates a mixture of equipment that allows children to take part in joint play to improve their interaction skills and solo play to build independence. The snake footpath and colourfully mapped out pit stops within the park are designed to enourage a variety of different play experiences that are equally mindful of the importance of physical momement, sensory play and concentration. The aim of the space is to allow children to have fun whilst evolking their imagination and creativity. By doing so, the play space will improve the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of each children.
