A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
DEAR FRIENDS OF DE LA SALLE COLLEGIATE,
I am pleased to announce that De La Salle Collegiate has developed a strategic plan that will help guide us through our 100th anniversary in 2026 and beyond. This plan will assist in providing direction and priorities in delivering the best educational experience for every student. Our goal continues to be a school that strives for excellence in everything we do.
The planning process was a grassroots effort, involving faculty, staff, students, alumni, and benefactors of De La Salle. We were able to identify our strengths, which we can continue to use as a solid foundation for growth. It will provide the basis for a plan that faces challenges strategically and head on, while identifying and acting on opportunities that support success. I believe this well-developed document is thorough and inclusive. It is the direct result of us working hard together to identify today’s successes and forming a progressive future. It lays out a bold, but achievable vision for the future that supports our mission.
Now the real work begins – the implementation. We are focused on developing metrics and keeping each other accountable to make this plan our roadmap. It will serve to guide us in achieving our goals and objectives while taking a proactive approach to address the evolving educational landscape.
I promise to keep the community abreast of the progress of the strategic plan, and welcome feedback as we press forward. Thank you to all who contributed to the development of the plan and who give generously to the school for the future of our students. Without you De La Salle would not be the institution it is today.
Larry Rancilio, ‘86 PresidentOur Mission
De La Salle Collegiate is dedicated to the Lasallian Catholic education of its diverse students, including the poor and disadvantaged. We are a college-preparatory school inspired by the spirit and tradition of St. John Baptist de La Salle, where learning takes place in the presence of God. Each student is encouraged to develop his faith, character, intellect, and morality.
This mission is embodied in the school’s motto: Builders of Boys. Makers of Men.
Our Vision
De La Salle Collegiate is dedicated to the education and growth of the whole student in the Lasallian tradition. We are committed to excellence in everything we do. We respect each student’s learning needs and assist them in becoming confident, open-minded, faith-filled honorable men who are prepared for the life ahead of them.
PRIORITY
Offer a transformational education, led by a community of educators, centered on Catholic values and personal relationships that emphasize academic excellence, faith formation, inclusion, respect for the individual, service and social justice. As a Lasallian community, De La Salle faculty and staff will educate minds, touch hearts and cultivate leadership by preparing boys to become men, and by encouraging in them a sense of responsibility for the common good.
OBJECTIVES
Develop a robust Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics (STEAM) Program/Curriculum.

Create a data-driven, dynamic academic support program that will evaluate a student’s progress and their post DLS goals throughout their career at De La Salle Collegiate.
Support and develop the faculty, staff and coaches to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to build the best student experiences and relationships.
