2023-2024 School Year Academic Summary of Changes
● The English curriculum completed is re-alignment for the 2023-24 year. Juniors will now be required to take Speech & Communications and Creative Writing. Both of these courses are a semester each and are required unless a junior is enrolled in Advanced Placement English Language and Comp.
American Literature and Honors American Literature have now been moved to sophomore year and is a required course. This was done to align the English and Social Studies curriculum, which studies United States History in sophomore year.
● New Testament has returned in 2023-2024 for the sophomores as the Theology curriculum completes is re-alignment.
● Courses Added:
○ Introduction to Technology (a requirement beginning with the Class of 2027)

○ Entrepreneurship
○ The aforementioned English & New Testament courses

● Courses Dropped:
○ Freshman Seminar
○ Advanced Placement European History (to return in 24-25)
○ Composition and Literature II along with its Honors Counterpart
● Beginning with the Class of 2027, students must have at least 0.5 credits of Technology as well as a Personal Finance course (also 0.5 credits) as a graduation requirement.
● Parents are also reminded that beginning with the Class of 2025, all students must have one year of Fine Arts courses as a graduation requirement.
