Annual Chamber Membership is based on a fair share dues structure designed to offer all businesses equal benefits

Regardless of size, each business receives all the best in-person and digital benefits, including membership for EVERY employee. Dues are based on number of employees under specific business categories such as General Business & Manufacturing, Licensed Professionals, Financial or Educational institutions, Restaurants, Lodging, Home-based and Non-Profit. Dues for additional locations with the same business owner are discounted 50% off within the corresponding category. See the “Buffet of Benefits” section for an all-inclusive list.

State of the City: DeBary

January

The State of the City features an annual address from the Mayor of DeBary as the city reflects on its achievements of the past year, and shares visioning plans for the future.

Leadership West Volusia

January-May

Leadership West Volusia, a partnership between DeLand & Greater West Volusia Chamber of Commerce and Stetson University, brings together both current and emerging leaders for an in-depth study of our local economy. Through study of leadership best practices, panel discussions and field studies with various industries, graduates of this program are fully prepared to be effective regional leaders. Students may also work toward and earn a Leadership Certificate through Stetson Professional & Corporate Education within this class. Alumni are encouraged to attend the annual Class Graduation Ceremony and volunteer with future classes.

Annual recognition of our West Volusia teachers who go above and beyond in educating and preparing our students for success in our future workforce. Each year, up to 40 nominees and 4 Crystal Apple Award winners are honored.

As part of our chamber initiative, West Volusia Wellness, this environmentally focused community-wide cleanup day brings local residents, students, community leaders, and businesses together to make a positive impact on our environment and foster a sense of pride. School of Government

October-April

DeLand & Greater West Volusia Chamber of Commerce hosts a 6-month School of Government program with our partners, Volusia County Schools, City of DeLand, City of Orange City and City of DeBary. West Volusia high school juniors and seniors learn about local government in an interactive hands-on curriculum, culminating in a 3-day field trip to our state capital. Students are recognized with a graduation ceremony and awarded a School of Government certificate.

A chamber-hosted quarterly Town Hall series focuses on current topics and issues in local economic development in an educational and informative forum, facilitated by the Chamber Government Affairs Committee.
