HORSE SPOTLIGHT

Lennox

Lennox is a 8 year old Standardbred gelding that came from Queen Anne’s County in May of 2024. His racing name was Blarney’s Bluestone and he raced a whopping two times in 2023, winning one and coming in fifth in his second race. His half-brother and b t b d M j t t d t d out. He started in a training program during the winter due to…well…wint

He started back into work this spring and didn’t miss a beat. He’s just a good egg. He’s done all the groundwork prep to get him ready for going under saddle. Even though he raced a few times and was trained to drive a sulky, he’d not had a saddle on or been ridden so we still needed to go through and make sure he learned those lessons.

Lennox is well versed in roundpenning, lunging, tarp work, moving his hindquarters, forequarters, leading, backing and obstacles.

He had a very classic, smooth first ride just this week and did walk/trot on the lunge line. He handled the new experience with class and a calm outlook. We are so excited to see how he continues to develop as a riding horse! Someone is going to be really lucky to have him as their riding partner!

Comings

Recently we welcomed a new herd. They are part of a very sensitive case, so details will need to remain limited for now. In the meantime please consider donating - their arrival brings our numbers to 75 horses!
