In an effort to shed light on the crisis in Sudan, Houston Congressman Al Green was arrested at the country’s embassy while participating in a peaceful protest. More than half a million men, women and children are at risk of starvation while the Sudanese government blocks food and humanitarian aid.
North Shore track and field standout Jermaine Authorlee has made up his mind and will head to the University of Alabama. He also received scholarship offers from the University of Houston, Texas Tech, TCU and Texas A&M. “I just felt like Alabama was a good fit and a good environment for me,” he said.
