Measure, Manage, Maximize!

CityofDeerPark

The City of Deer Park is excited to announce the launch of its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project, aimed at providing enhanced customer service to water utility customers. Starting in February 2024, the city will begin replacing water meters throughout the community with advanced metering infrastructure.

Over 9 months, 12,262 water meters will be installed city-wide, offering customers a range of benefits. The new meter system will provide real-time water usage data, water budget and consumption threshold alerts, comparative data, leak alerts, and notifications from the city. Customers can access their consumption data through an internet-based customer dashboard, accessible from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Implementing AMI will empower Deer Park residents with a better understanding of their water consumption while equipping city staff to provide improved customer assistance.

This project is expected to be completed in November 2024. Citizens can look for routine Town Hall meetings throughout the project.
