Mission Statement
The Deerfield Park District strives to serve the Deerfield Community with outstanding parks, services, facilities and recreation programs that enrich lives, promote healthy living and inspire memorable experiences.
Park District Board Meetings
Deerfield Park District is governed by five elected commissioners who set policies for parks, facilities, and programs. Regular board meetings are held at Jewett Park Community Center on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Workshop meetings take place on the first Thursday as needed. Discover Jewett Park Community Center
Jewett Park Community Center serves as the heart of Deerfield Park District, offering a multitude of amenities and programs to cater to diverse interests. Home to our developmental preschool, Discovery Learning Center, as well as dance and ceramics studios, multipurpose programming rooms, and administrative offices, the center provides a welcoming environment for families and individuals alike. Our preschool curriculum focuses on holistic child development, incorporating elements of math, science, literacy, and outdoor play to foster well-rounded growth.
Sachs Recreation Center
Sachs Recreation Center stands as a beacon of health and wellness, boasting nearly 100,000 square feet of recreational and fitness space. With recent facility-wide renovations to modernize the look and feel of the space, the center continues to evolve to meet the needs of our fitness-conscious community. From our mind and body yoga sessions, indoor running track, and swimming pool, to the seven pickleball courts, Sachs Recreation Center offers a comprehensive array of amenities to support your active lifestyle.
Patty Turner Center
Step into the Patty Turner Center and immerse yourself in a world of enrichment tailored for active adults aged 50 and older. In partnership with the Village of Deerfield, the center offers a diverse range of classes, events, and excursions designed to promote social engagement and intellectual stimulation. Whether you’re interested in art workshops, educational seminars, or group outings, the Patty Turner Center provides a welcoming space for lifelong learning and community connection.
Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center
For golf enthusiasts, the Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center offers a premier destination for both seasoned players and beginners alike. Spanning 155 acres of meticulously maintained greens and fairways, the club provides top-notch instruction and practice facilities. In addition to our renowned golfing facilities, we are excited to welcome back Tap House Grill for its second season! Tap House Grill continues to enhance the experience for our guests, offering a delicious dining option to complement their day on the course. With recent enhancements to course features and amenities, including a renovated 18th hole and additional on-course restrooms, guests can expect an unparalleled golfing experience.
