BEYOND ZERO

This journey is about a small boy who had dreams beyond his age, society and his family situations.

Coming from a small town Ambajogai, Maharashtra but full of possibilities and innumerable talents like an excellent orator, a great tabla player and an outstanding artist. He shaped his life through his strong will, hard work and creativity. This Journey is of Deepak Khogre, who lived and build his life with his mantra of looking life and situation beyond ZERO.

Papa’s paintings define about different phases of his life, emotions, situations, music, nature and a never ending quest to create something new and unique which reflects in his work through his strokes, his textures and colors.

For papa, life, nature and art were so organically linked that they became almost synonymous. “He Lived to paint,He painted to live”.

His art flowed ceaselessly between many dualities, beauty and fear, the sensuous and the spiritual, Modernity and memory, celebration and prayer, color and concept, history and eternity, fury and tranquility. The iconic exploration of forms sought a source of energy, a locus of nature and an origin of life.

His work is a beautiful rhythm of different ragas of classical music which originates from his heart, mind and soul. Papa’s work prominently shows the sign of peace through use of silent colors like yellow ochre which defines imperishable, happiness and creativity, blue that is calmness, grey which symbolizes neutrality and balance and brown defines simplicity.

Though the dreams remain and journey ends, but his work still mesmerizes all. His colors, strokes and texture still spread the aura of his lively, kind and joyous personality that he was!

This Exhibition is in loving memory of PAPA- Artist Late Deepak Rajabhau Khogre.
