DECORA DECORA HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THREE DECADES INTO A WELL-RECOGNISED AND TRUSTED BRAND THAT HAS THE DESIRE AND PASSION TO PROVIDE THE WINDOW BLIND INDUSTRY WITH WHOLESALE AND MADE-TO-MEASURE SOLUTIONS.

Decora Blind Systems Ltd was established over 35 years ago as a family business. In 1979, our founders Michael and Lynda Dickson, started selling external awnings to local Northern Ireland trade.

In 1981 the business invested in machinery to manufacture internal blinds. The wholesaling of components and fabric to the trade was a further development and integral to the strategy in setting up manufacturers throughout Northern Ireland.

At Decora we take pride in designing, creating, engineering, manufacturing and distributing our own products.

In the early 1990’s Michael Dickson’s two sons joined the business learning all operations and activities until settling into two different roles; Russell Dickson as Sales & Marketing Director and Stuart Dickson as Managing Director.

Our strategy is central to meeting the demands of our customers which has a focus to nurture, innovate, design, create and source new products whilst embracing the need to reduce environmental impact where possible. We focus our efforts on building strong supplier and customer relationships.

Pragmatic solutions encompass designer led window fashion, creating and defining a baseline for distinctive products. Significant time is spent researching interior design trends, fabric weaves, patterns, designs and colour trends. Once graphical designs and colour-ways are set, the functionality and form is considered. Compiling and analysing sales data and market reports is used to continually improve brand engagement. Our componentry and technology

systems are developed in-house to enhance product efficiency and improve customer experience.

Every Decora brand is built on a separate conceptual idea. Through the design and presentation of the product portfolio each brand ethos is portrayed through visual concepts, colour and aspirational photography.

DISTRIBUTION

AT DECORA WE DISTRIBUTE AND EXPORT WHOLESALE AND MADE-TO-MEASURE WINDOW BLIND SOLUTIONS FOR TRADE CUSTOMERS ACROSS OUR OPERATING REGIONS. Introducing innovative wholesale and madeto-measure online ordering systems allows customers to link into our internal systems.

Customers have visibility to over 13,000 wholesale products that can be ordered online with ease.

This ensures a seamless connection in supply and demand for customers. Multiple functionality online provides accuracy, convenience and real-time information for stock.

Our warehousing and distribution teams effectively co-ordinate stock holding across our UK sites where distribution of products and solutions are streamlined for order fulfilment. We choose logistical partners that can effectively connect with our customers.

Decora’s up-to-date manufacturing facilities and engineering minds fuse leading edge design and technology to create functional products. The ongoing challenge is to conceptualise and develop quality and dynamic solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Decora’s manufacturing is about efficiency and streamlining the production process with a philosophy of right first time. We manufacture 20,000 blinds per week. The production team adhere to a quality process to meet high standards at point of manufacturing.

In-house engineers strive for continuous improvement and maintain the highest quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations. Our efficiencies are

present in manufacturing capacity, in-house scheduling, packaging and labelling as well as order tracking.

Made-to-measure is a specialised process of producing blinds from raw materials. It requires a skill set that comes from attention to detail and experience, synonymous with our Decora brands.

Continual investment in new technology emulates the focus Decora has on manufacturing excellence and product development. Through our teams of skilled professionals, product refinement becomes an art with fabric, wood, aluminium and components working in harmony to achieve exceptional characteristics.
