HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT LOVE STORY CAKE Help consumers show off favorite engagement photos and share memories of their love story. This cake design is completely customizable by offering colors and PhotoCake® Images that speak to the bride and groom. Print all PhotoCake Images and prepare before placing on the cake. Starting with #20457 Love Words PhotoCake Images, airbrush the words “happiness” and “love” in Eggplant and Olive Green Premium Gel Colors.
Using a fondant extruder, create seam joints and handles on the hat box base tier. Then stack all tiers.
Print five sheets of the #20456 Black and White Floral PhotoCake Image, trim to size and place around the 12" round cake.
After adding fondant rope around remaining tiers, place airbrushed gum paste flowers around the base and on top of the cake.
Print four PhotoCake photos of the couple approximately 3½" × 5" using #20312 Silver Frame PhotoCake Frame, changed to grayscale. Trim and apply to the 6" square cake.
Roll out fondant to 1/8" thick. Cut a circle to fit the top of the 12" cake and place.

THE CAMPUS DARLING: HONEYMOON BAKERY Hats off to cake decorators Kate White and Melissa Kroeger of Honeymoon Bakery, who won the Graduation category at IBIE’s 15th Annual Pillsbury Bakers' Plus Creative Decorating Competition. Since 2007, Honeymoon Bakery of Rome, Georgia has been winning hearts with made-from-scratch cakes, fillings and frostings, complemented by stunning cake Melissa Kroeger Kate White Photo by: Nova Vista Photography designs from White and Kroeger. Honeymoon Bakery also takes a fresh approach to partnering with area high schools and colleges, making the bakery the first choice at graduation time. Here’s how Honeymoon Bakery secures top-of-class rank: • To support “Communities In Schools,” a program designed to increase graduation rates, Honeymoon Bakery creates a custom jumbo cupcake for every graduate, paid for by CIS. • During football season, they use social media to feature an “Icing on the Cake” Player of the Game Award. “The player gets recognition as well as a coupon from our bakery,” Kroeger says. • As a fundraiser throughout the academic year, Berry College’s student government association collects weekly Honeymoon Bakery orders from parents and delivers the care packages to students on campus. “It’s a great way for out-of-town parents to become familiar with us,” says White. “When they visit campus, they usually stop by the bakery, too.”

Regular cleaning and maintenance is the secret to staying in the flow, especially during busy times like graduation. Use these tips to improve airbrush performance and lifespan. Rinse the color cup with water until airbrush runs clear, spraying out excess. Now, you’re ready for a new color. WHEN DAY’S DONE: WATER + CLEANER
At the end of everyday, use airbrush cleaner followed by water for a more thorough cleaning. Make it a regular habit to help prevent future hassles.
TROUBLESHOOTING: SPECKLING Don’t let speckling ruin your hard work. Uncover the cause and fix it fast. LOW AIR PRESSURE
How’s your air pressure? It may be hindering smooth coverage. Adjust your pressure and test until you achieve the right result. CLOGGED NOZZLE CAP
Is icing trapped in your nozzle cap? Simply unscrew the cap, clean with a damp cloth and replace the cap. NEEDLE BUILD-UP
Is color built up on your needle? Unscrew the handle and needle chucking nut to remove the needle, then clean the needle with airbrush cleaner. Continue cleaning the entire airbrush gun to remove all color residue. BENT NEEDLE

Follow these three steps at least three weeks before graduation season to minimize last minute hassles and keep you ahead of the graduation curve. 1. CHECK YOUR SYSTEM UPDATE
PhotoCake Online users: You’re set, updates are automatic!
PhotoCake IV users: Click the PhotoCake button on your home screen and view “Update Information.” If your most recent update is from 2016 or earlier, call PhotoCake Support (1-800-644-1228) for assistance. 2. PREP YOUR PRINTER
Regular and thorough maintenance is required in order to prolong the life of your printer. It is highly recommended that you have extra cleaning cartridge or printheads on hand, so you can keep a regular printer maintenance schedule throughout graduation season. Also, be sure to check your ink flow levels and any clogs by running a color test on printer paper. See Seasons product order guide p. 39-40 for cleaning cartridges
and printheads.
