ATLANTA, GA | APRIL 25-28, 2026

GREETINGS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Welcome to Atlanta and to the 80th DECA International Career Development Conference. This global event celebrates the culmination of your achievements this year and furthers your desire to become an emerging leader and entrepreneur in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

We asked DECA members, advisors and business partners to GO THE EXTRA this year, and the response from the DECA community was outstanding. DECA achieved another record-breaking year with over 315,000 members in more than 4,490 chapters. We are proud to see DECA’s innovative education programs continue to bring more students and teachers into our organization than ever before. DECA’s Comprehensive Learning Program also garnered impressive participation this year. We would like to recognize and thank the chartered association advisors, chapter advisors and student leaders who helped drive over 225,000 members to participate in DECA’s Chapter Campaigns, Corporate Challenges, Educational Conferences, Emerging Leader Series, School-based Enterprises and Competitive Events Programs.

We also recognize our esteemed business partners who continued to provide invaluable support to DECA. For the second year in a row, all 60 of DECA’s competitive events are sponsored by our business partners, reinforcing the important role DECA has in developing the next generation of leaders.

Lastly, we commend you for being one of 26,000 DECA members to earn attendance at #DECAICDC. Your hard work has resulted in the opportunity to compete against the very best on DECA’s biggest stage. We challenge you to GO THE EXTRA while at ICDC and take every opportunity to experience all that Atlanta has to offer.

DECA is proud to be the premier Career and Technical Student Organization and that would not be possible without our members, advisors and business partners. Congratulations on your accomplishment this year, and we can’t wait to see how you will GO THE EXTRA at ICDC.

GREETINGS FROM YOUR EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

We are honored to welcome you to the experience of a lifetime – DECA’s International Career Development Conference!

This past year, you’ve competed, led, and grown in countless ways, and it’s all led to this moment. More than 26,000 DECA members will join this historic moment for our organization. By being here, you are part of the largest ICDC in history – a truly memorable achievement!

ICDC isn’t the only achievement to be proud of this year, though. DECA’s record-breaking 315,000+ membership proves that DECA continues to GO THE EXTRA by impacting emerging leaders around the world.

While you’re in Atlanta, you have the opportunity to compete against the very best for the coveted DECA Glass, meet members from around the world and elevate your leadership skills through the Emerging Leader Series. ICDC also provides an opportunity to build connections for your future. Be sure to visit the college and career exhibits to network with industry professionals, college representatives and potential future employers.

As you work hard throughout this once-in-a-lifetime experience, take in all that the vibrant city of Atlanta has to offer. From the energizing sessions at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to exploring attractions like the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, there are countless ways to make the most of your time here.

DECA ICDC is an experience like no other. To make the most of it, soak up every moment, take pictures, meet new people and stay active on social media using #DECAICDC and #GOTHEEXTRA. Our members make DECA and conferences like this so extraordinary. We wish you the best of luck, and remember, your time to GO THE EXTRA is now!

INTERNATIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

The DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) is the culmination of the DECA year. More than 26,000 high school students, teacher-advisors, business professionals and alumni gather for several days of DECA excitement.

DECA members demonstrate their college and career-ready knowledge and skills by participating in DECA’s industry-validated Competitive Events Program, aligned with Career Clusters and 21st Century Skills in the areas of marketing, finance, hospitality, management and entrepreneurship. These members have qualified to attend based on superior performance at the district and association levels. More than 1,000 business professionals serve as expert judges to evaluate DECA members’ mastery of these concepts.

In addition, thousands of members participate in DECA’s Emerging Leader Series, which helps them develop 21st Century Skills in the areas of collaboration and teamwork, communication, critical thinking and problem solving and creativity. A key highlight is the involvement of executive mentors who provide college and career advice.

Thousands of DECA advisors and educators help administer DECA’s Competitive Events Program and Emerging Leader Series, while also participating in professional learning activities.

DECA extends its appreciation to the 1,000 Atlanta-area business professionals who are volunteering as competitive events judges, mentors and presenters at the conference. The conference would not be possible without you.

THANK YOU TO OUR EVENT DIRECTORS AND ASSISTANTS

The assistance of advisors is critical to the successful operation of the competitive events program, the election of officers, the emerging leader series and other functions. Briefings for event directors and assistants are scheduled throughout the conference and are necessary for the success of the programs. Advisors should consult their chartered association advisor for their assignment and report to the appropriate briefing session. DECA extends a special thank you to our advisors for their continued support of and dedication to DECA and its emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.

The NEXT BIG THING is not just about what’s coming - it’s about who will create it.

Every breakthrough, innovation and movement starts with someone bold enough to pursue it. This year, DECA challenges its members to look beyond what exists today and focus on what’s possible tomorrow. The NEXT BIG THING is already taking shape in the minds of DECA members across the globe. From innovative chapter campaign ideas and new ways to conquer DECA’s Competitive Events programs, to discovering your leadership potential and implementing new strategies to your School-based Enterprise, DECA members are ready to turn possibilities into progress.

What’s your NEXT BIG THING?
