Announcements Note from Swart Booysen Swart Booysen is the Pastor of Evaton Noord, our sister church in South Africa. He sent a note to thank us for our prayers, saying “The doctors have placed me on chemotherapy. The PSA dropped quickly, which means that hope is there. I feel good. Appetite is not disturbed, therefore, I enjoy all meals.” Please continue to lift him up in prayer. Room Needed Please consider renting a room in your home to a young (23 years), trustworthy, respectful, and Christian Iranian man for a modest rental fee. Contact the Office Administrator. Thank you Women’s Evening Bible Study— Now on Mondays! Starting on February 8, we will be changing our meeting day from Thursdays to Mondays. The ladies meet from 7:00–9:00 p.m. in Rooms 201-202.
Women’s Thursday AM Bible Study Please note that the Women’s Morning Bible Study on Thursday, Feb. 11 has been cancelled. We will reconvene the following week. The Breakfast Club with WOTIM The Word of Truth International Ministries (WOTIM) is a sister church—a multi-ethnic congregation located in south Seattle. We are reviving “The Breakfast Club,” which was a fun way to stay connected. Please join us by bringing a food item to share at a potluck breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 9:00 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room downstairs. RSVP to the Church Office. Cadet Pancake Breakfast The Cadet Pancake Breakfast is scheduled on Saturday, February 20 from 7:30–10:30 a.m. Donations are welcome to support the program.
CRC Table Talks The 2016 Council is offering members of our congregation a safe place to discuss important and difficult topics. The goal is to allow every voice possible to be heard as we discern the future of First CRC with regard to 1) External Vision, 2) Gender in Ministry Leadership, 3) Worship, and 4) Sexuality. We kicked off this series last Sunday, enjoying a lively discussion around the issue of our External Vision. If you weren’t able to join us—you aren’t too late—we’re offering a second opportunity to engage in this discussion on Thursday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room downstairs. If you would like more information on this dynamic series, feel free to pick up a flyer in the Foyer!

First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle is a gospel and grace-centered community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean? We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. Reformed… Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church… Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
