NCH FREESTANDING INPATIENT ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY FACILITY

This project includes the construction of an all new free-standing inpatient orthopedic unit at the North Naples Hospital. The freestanding building will be three-stories tall, approximately 80,000 sq. ft., and house a variety of programmatic functions on each floor. The first floor will be home to several modern common areas, a welcoming entrance lobby, a state-of-the-art radiology department equips with a MRI/CT scanner, a physician medical office space, facilities for physical therapy, and sterile processing and ancillary support/mechanical spaces. The second floor will be home to the orthopedic inpatient beds, a surgical services suite, and ancillary support spaces tied to the existing hospital’s license. The third floor is planned to house the ambulatory surgery center and ancillary support spaces for a joint venture partner.

Design based on results from a yearlong staff and operations focus group to improve and develop the final prototype building program.
