Thinking outsidethe classroom

In December, a fantastic outdoor classroom was added to the St John’s grounds to allow Forest School and Outdoor Learning to take place closer to the Pre-Prep department.The covered, wooden roundhouse was installed by SOuL, a company that creates play spaces that promote healthy risk taking, physical and cognitive development in stimulating, multi-sensory environments by using materials from the natural world.

It's designed to be used all year round, providing a space where teaching and learning can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
