New York Mets did the same thing as New York Islanders Deaf Awareness Night back in February 2023 https://www.stadiumjourney.com/stadiums/ny-islanders-host-deaf-awareness-night.
New York Mets provided American Sign Language (ASL) communication technology including Picture in Picture on video scoreboard.
New York Mets hired talented American Sign Language interpreters from Sign Nexus ASL interpreter service - NYC based and had them during the public address announcement on the video score board as well as assisting fans at Citi Field.
The ASL signers communicated the message the Public Address Announcer delivered as well as signed the national anthem. the ASL signers were part of in game contests and activities and signed all game penalties, and others
Gary Noll, Deaf New Jersey advocate live captioning and ASL through video boards in NJ and metro NY sports stadium and arena, also provided ASL signers during public announcement guidance to NY Mets on making NY Mets Deaf awareness Day successful.
