My gate is self-closing and self-latching, including a child safety lock
My gate opens outwards, away from the pool zone
My gate shuts securely from any open angle or force
My latch release knob is at least 1500mm above ground level
My latch release knob is at least 1400mm above the lower foot hold
My latch cannot be key locked in the “open” position
My latch cannot be disengaged using implements or shaking
My self-closing hinges are rust-free and bind-free
My self-closing hinges are tension-adjustable, and operating correctly
My pool zone is free from objects or structures that can be climbed on
My pool fence and gate are at least 1200mm high
My pool fence’s picket/post gap is less than 100mm
My regulation CPR sign is attached in my pool area, visible from 3m
My gate complies with the latest Australian Standards for pools
