A major focus in the first half of 2022 was appointing committees and panels, and to hire the remaining positions in the secretariat.

Secretariat
As of June 1st, the secretariat was fully staffed with six full-time employees in the office at Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Lyngby. Additionally, two student helpers were hired in December, starting in January 2023.

Board, Committees, and Panels
In 2022, all committees and panels, which are pivotal to lift and expand on the visions and ambitions of DDSA, were appointed. An open nomination call was launched in December 2021 with deadline in January 2022. The width and caliber of the 120 incoming nominations for the committees and panels was impressive. In the selection process, the Board strived for a diversity of geographic and personal profiles, and to represent the plurality of data science.
To realise the vision and mission of DDSA, a multitude of meetings have been held in 2022, including:
▪ 5 Board meetings
▪ 4 Fellowship Evaluation Committee meetings
▪ 3 Education & Networking Committee meetings
▪ 2 Cross-Academy Collaboration meetings
▪ 2 National Advisory Panel meetings
▪ 2 Young Academy Panel meetings and multitude of organizing committee meetings
▪ 1 Joint BoD, NAP, IAP, ENC workshop
