FLADELAND REFERENCE SIRES
SLC Bear 176Y - In his second working season at Fladeland Livestock. He was acquired from Severtsons for his moderate frame, calving ease and thickness. His primary role has been to breed first calf heifers. We are extremely impressed with his first calf crop. His bull calf progeny displays easy calving, fleshing ability and dual cow purpose breeding power.
LCR Warnock 612W - He is designed for sheer power with his great length, super testicle development, dark red color and overall thickness. His calves display these same traits with great hair development. He turns heads when visitors walk through the herd bull pen. His role is power, performance and growth.
RWG Fire and Ice 1604 - A bull that passes on to his progeny a fabulous hair coat, square lines, amazing thickness and overall raw power. Fire & Ice will see heavy use again this year in our Purebred and Commercial operations.
VV Z-Rated 140Z - Photo is FLAD Fladeland Bay 32B, son of VV Z-Rated 140Z - Purchased from the proven V&V program out of Medicine Hat AB. Z-Rated was added to our program as a calving ease specialist. His progeny have surpassed expectations with very low birth weights, excellent vigor, tremendous hair coat and overall keeper quality. We are very impressed with his progeny and are retaining a number of Z rated daughters. Look to his calves to give you the same.
RID R Collateral 2R ‘AI Reference Sire’ BLB The Rock 7Y - Rock progeny have proved to have tonnes of thickness and hair. We lost Rock from an injury following his second breeding season so this will be his second and last sale offering. We are again retaining a large number of his females in our heifer pen. His daughters are calving for the first time in 2015 and show moderate frame, easy fleshing and great udder development. Rock sired the 2013 Peoples’ Choice Futurity Champion in Red Deer Alberta, FLAD Fladeland Roc’M Soc’M 202B. In 2014 his direct progeny FLAD Bam Bam 89B was the Champion Gelbvieh Bull at Manitoba Livestock Expo. A daughter FLAD 138A was named the 2014 CWA Junior Heifer Calf Champion. ~1~

161B is one of the darker, heavier haired bulls we have on offer. He is exceptionally long with good scrotal. We are currently walking 2 sons of his dam FLF 110P: FLAD Bourbon 31X who was the calf at side FLF 110P when she was named the 2010 CWA Reserve Champion Female; and FLAD Boogyman 28A ET who was the 2014 CWA National Champion bull. The mating of FLF 110P and Collateral is very exciting and showing excellent results.

Another moderate stout Warnock and Stan mating. His dam 104T is a favorite; she has a ton of volume, excellent udder structure and is a consistent producer.

The Fire and Ice calves are impressive and FLAD Prairie Fire 177B is no exception. This great haired, heavy muscled Mar 29 born bull is only behind on age but not on performance or maturity. this guy is keeping up with the older bulls in the pen. He was part of our 2014 show string and one of our 2014 Canadian Bull Futurity entries. His Precision sired dam FLAD 155W is a constant producer with an awesome udder. Homo polled.

Do not let the young age of this bull deter you. He is on par with his pen mates in quality and performance. Check out the muscle expression and style of this young calf and don’t forget the maternal strength of the grand dam FLF105M who is in many pedigrees in our herd.

218B is what we strive for low birth weight with high weaning and yearling weights. He is yet another Warnock son that just keeps on stroking. He is also maternally strong as his grand dam is FLAD 155W who is the dam to FLAD 177B who also sells in this sale.
Congratulations to Gary and Sharon Barrett from Big Beaver Saskatchewan and Karl Sothmann (El Dor Ranch) of Elrose, Saskatchewan. They were two recipients of the Man/Sask Gelbvieh Association
