Welcome to Overmiller Gelbvieh and Red Angus, We extend a warm welcome to all and a sincere Thank You to all our past customers and friends, for your loyal support and interest in our breeding program. We are striving to produce cattle with balanced genetics that will help you be profitable in the cattle business. With the current cattle prices and feed cost using bulls that have the ability to produce females that can survive on less and terminal progeny that can convert is ever so important. We are proud of this set of bulls as we culled hard to insure we are providing you the best. We await your appraisal of this set of powerful bulls. The heifers should be a great addition and hopefully offer some low input females. Junior’s there are some outstanding show prospects/cow prospects here as well. We believe that females are important and these cattle are backed by some of their breeds top females. Again this year we will be using DV Auction to have the sale on the internet. Videos of each lot will be up before the sale. We will also not be running the bulls through the ring, but will sell them off of the video. This will create less stress on both human and animal. By doing this you the buyer also will be able to see the animal walk while he is selling not just spinning in circles throwing woodchips in a ring. Cattle will still be penned outside as in the past for your viewing sale day. If you have any questions about watching the videos give us a call. From Riverton, NE go 11 miles south on 41 1/2 Road, to church corner 50 Road, turn west, go 1 mile west and then 1/4 mile back north on O Road to drive.

Final data on cattle will be available sale day including scrotal measurements and yearling weights. On sale day, scan information will be available on the bulls. More Homo Black and Polled tests will be available sale day. We are retaining a 1/3 semen interest on all bulls unless otherwise noted. Any past customer who buys a bull this year and brings a new purchaser will receive $50 off their bull.

Many visitors have asked if he is pure Red Angus he is so square and wide from behind. Big time spread from birth to yearling and breed leading carcass numbers to go with it. Proof top 1% for WW & YW Top 5% TM top 3 and 29 for Marb. and REA. 13Z started with a very modest BW and he soared to a WW ratio of 122. His dam is a picture perfect 1st calf hrf. that is looking like she can produce as well as she looks. She was the high selling bred hfr from the C-Bar Drought Dispersal and wow did she turn heads last fall. X13 kept her body condition all summer and fall and looked super after weaning this standout. Big Sky is a calving ease sire and this son is no exception. A -6.2 BW puts him in the top 2% for the breed. This bull should be perfect if you don’t like to worry about your heifers calving. His dam was the talk of the Lonker Dispersal where she sold for $10,000 as an open hfr. Homo Blk. Tuned In was the most talked about bull in Denver in 2008 and we decided we had to own him. What a great decision that has been. His dam is a picture perfect female and he looks to be producing heifers that are all keepers. The Tuned In bulls have a lot of bone and are so deep it’s amazing while not giving up muscle. A Black, polled herd sire we purchased to add growth and volume. Nitro was named Reserve Division Champion at the National Show in Denver in 2005. In 2004 he was the lead bull in Pearsons Champion pen of 3. Nitro has been a true breeding bull over the years and we finally sold him after breeding cows at the age of 8. The Nitro sons have been used by commercial and seedstock cowmen with great acceptance. The Nitro sons are growthy, well balanced bulls with level hips and square tops. His daughters have been making super cows and raising top end calves. Daughters have been chosen for multiple state sales and a national sale.
