Gelbvieh and Red Angus Welcome to Overmiller Gelbvieh and Red Angus, Thank you for taking the time to look through the offering. To our past customers, we truly value your business and friendship. If you are new to our operation, then we would like to thank you for giving our breeding program and cattle a look. We take it seriously to produce the best product we can. As we write this we are ending a 2 week stretch of snow and exteme cold temps that have been trying for both man and beast. We have to believe this snow means grass will come. The moisture is a blessing after the dry summer we had where we went to grass a month late and that extra time being fed instead of grazing affected the spring bulls weaning weights.

We developed the fall bulls in a large pasture to try to develop them slowly to give you the best product available. Not many seedstock suppliers still have their bulls in 20 acre traps up until sale time. This we feel is your benefit.

All members of the family are involved and play a role. This is truly a family owned and run operation. Just as generations of Overmiller’s have been involved in beef production, so it is outstanding how generations of cow families have been around a long time. It is amazing how some families pass the test of time and survive and some flat fall out. There really is a difference.

We did something new this winter and took a pen of 5 commercial heifers to the National Western in Denver where we showed and sold them in the commercial female show and sale. We were excited and thrilled to have the panel of judges select our pen as Reserve Supreme Pen of Heifers. Our open heifers were competing against open and bred heifers in groups of 5 and 10 from many large ranches. We will be selling several paternal sisters to these heifers in our commercial open groups. New this year, we will be selling some bred heifers, 90% of which are carrying AI sired calves. Also, a few fall bred heifers will be available for purchase.

First Breeding Season Guarantee: All bulls with an injury occurring by September 1 or within 90 days of turnout must be returned to the Overmiller’s to receive any credit. All bulls must be returned with an affidavit from a vet stating the issue is incurable.

All claims must be turned in by September 1, or no guarantee will be honored. This does not cover death of the animal. Livestock mortality insurance will be available to purchase.

Terms of Sale: Payment is due the day of the sale. Animals sell under the suggested terms and conditions of the AGA and RAAA. Delivery of Bulls: Free delivery up to 350 miles or to central locations, or we will make every effort to accommodate the buyer.

We will deduct $50 if you take your bull home sale day.

Transfers: All registered cattle will be transferred into the buyer’s name. Bulls and heifers listed as commercial have no papers.

Thanks for looking at this years catalog. As you analyze the data in here, remember these fall bulls and coming 2 year olds ran out in a 70 plus acre pasture until Nov. Then, they came home to a 50 acre pasture and then at Christmas we fenced it so they have 20 acres. These are hard bulls developed to be lean and athletic. We are leading off the catalog this year with a group sired by Reputation. We have never had a sire that has created so much buzz and created so much interest.

Lot 1 ~ If you are looking to add stretch and performance to a calf crop this is your bull. Breed leading growth and marbling combined with eye appeal. The sires throughout this pedigree have left great females.

Maternal side traces to one of our original 13 Red Angus we started with. We thought long and hard about keeping this bull.

Dark red, big time performance son of Reputation. A bull with some meat and power bred in with a Hard Drive dam who boasts a 105 MPPA! Top 25% or better on every carcass EPD. Dam is nursing a stud full brother.

The “93” line of cattle are thick and wide. Note his dam’s high MPPA. This sire group out of time tested cow families has us excited.

Growth leader that should not sacrifice maternal strength.
