The “Acadiana Swamp” themed playground, water feature, treehouse, and Cajun Cottage restroom received an award from the Louisiana Chapter American Society of Landscape Architects.
A Sustainability Award from the USGBC Louisiana Chapter for its commitment to sustainable stormwater and management practices.
The Louisiana Recreation and Park Association recognized Moncus Park as this year's Outstanding Park Project which displays a high degree of professional design quality and recreational value within Louisiana.
Michael Thomassie, PE demonstrates exemplary service, leadership, and commitment at DDG and through his involvement in local and national professional organizations. This past weekend, Michael was sworn in as Chairman of American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana at the ACEC Deep South Convention. We have full faith he will exceed expectations as Chairman, and we are so proud to have him represent Team DDG. Congratulations!

"Recently, construction was completed on the Pavestone Project in St. Tammany Parish. McDonald Construction of Slidell commented that they had a great experience working with Heather Klingman and Karen Matlock. They were equally impressed by the construction layout by Walter Weatherford. Marcus Canal stated, "I have never done a complete building layout with little to no errors such as this one." Due to the Walter's meticulous work, DDG has been contacted about designing other construction layouts for future projects. Great work Walter!
"Our client, Neel Schaffer, complimented Nathan Reaux on his responsiveness and exceptional work on the East Milton Avenue Survey project.Team DDG will be providing civil engineering and survey services for Outfall Drainage Improvements to both East and West sides of Barringer Drive. On the east side, drainage is restricted by downstream culverts and existing outfalls On the west side, existing pipes and inverts are restricted causing flooding DDG will propose solutions to improve the overall drainage system
DDG's civil and surveying teams will work together to provide services to complete the request of the client for the fourth amendment of The Crest on Colorado Residential Development located in Lafayette, LA Services include the preparation of a construction layout and construction staking
DDG's Architecture Team will continue to provide design services for Shell Geismar. DDG has been tasked with completing a master plan for the East Campus which will include a new administration building, laboratory, consolidated control room, contractor construction office, SGCB Construction Shop, Med/IH/ERT Building, and new entry gate
St Martin Parish Government (SMPG) has tasked DDG with new roadway improvements that consists of a combination of patching, milling, overlaying, and reconstruction DDG's engineering team will provide construction plans, specifications, and construction support for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the riding surfaces for existing hard surfaced and aggregate roads and streets
DDG will meet with Vandebilt Catholic High School's (VCHS) stakeholders of the proposed fieldhouse to develop a building program which will define the building's use, goals, and size. DDG will then develop a master site plan for future developments on campus. The area of focus includes vehicle circulation and athletic facilities including the proposed fieldhouse, cheer gym, softball field and other athletic facilities
DDG will be responsible for preparing a Master Plan for a park in Houma Heights neighborhood The plan will include the overall design intent, client program, and implementation strategy When completed, the Houma Heights Park will have the first dog park in Terrebonne Parish, open community gathering spaces, playgrounds, skateboarding, and beautification of green space
DDG will provide architectural, civil engineering, and survey services to South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association (SLECA) for the reconstruction of the 16,000 SF main office facility. Additional ancillary buildings are also included in the project's scope. These buildings include, but are not limited to, a new warehouse with loading docks, mechanical shop and storage buildings
DDG will provide programming, site evaluation/planning, civil engineering, and architectural design services for the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) This project consists of a new building and associated site work to replace the existing South Company Fire Station The preparation of necessary demolition, site, grading, utility, driveway entrance, erosion control plans, coordination of permits, bidding services and construction administration
DDG will prepare a site investigation report detailing specific due diligence information that may be used to determine the feasibility of the project and better define the scope of work We will also be responsible for securing local permits and performing preliminary FEED design services for 7 buildings and mass grading of process areas within the plant
DDG will provide design and drainage modeling for a regional detention facility as well as development criteria for the lots not slated for immediate development The scope of this project includes consultation and design for a mixed use development in Foley, Alabama DDG will provide services for a traffic study, consultation with the City of Foley and geometric layout of accesses, and a comprehensive master plan
The Northridge project is a 200 acre residential subdivision development located in Baton Rouge. DDG will provide civil engineering, survey, and landscape architecture services for the project The site is zoned Planned Unit Development (PUD) but has expired DDG will be responsible for the reestablishment This scope includes the design and permitting of phase 1 which will include +/ 216 single family front loaded lots
DDG's Lafayette Civil Team scored two big wins recently Both the Cottages at Milton and Moulin Residential are private single family residential developments that will be constructed in Lafayette and Broussard CM includes +/ 3,626 LF of curb and gutter roadway for the 110 single family lots in the +/ 16 acre subdivision MR includes +/ 5,460 LF of curb and gutter roadway for the 210 single family lots in the +/ 28 45 acre subdivision Both include residential units that are able to be rented, which is a recent trend among single family developments
DDG will develop a scope for improvements and civil design plans to construct the improvements for the Wesco Yard at Shell Norco Our team will coordinate with Shell for the pre design and programming phase of the design process Our Survey team will complete a topographic survey to provide additional site information
As a result, a conceptual site plan will be prepared to show locations and limits of improvements
DDG Survey will provide professional services for the construction staking located in East Baton Rouge Parish Survey will calculate and prepare layout points for field crews at an hourly rate
The purpose of "Project 11" is to expand the Houston Ship Channel. It is one of the most vital waterways in the country. The channel connects the nations largest petrochemical complex to the globe DDG will perform Multi Beam and Magnetometer surveys for the entire 18 month long contract Once all data is collected, our team will process deliverables in accordance to U S Army Corps Engineers Standards
DDDG has been approved by Shell to proceed with the Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) phase on the Shell Geismar Laboratory project The DD phase will further define the project requirements and establish a well coordinated building and site design In the CD phase, the architect will complete the design and scopes of work to deliver a final stamped and sealed set on construction drawings and specifications
