Director / Choreographer
Doug is proud to be DCT’s Musical Theater Conservatory Director. His DCT national tour directing credits include Stuart Little, The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, How I Became a Pirate, Miss Nelson Has a Field Day, and others. Other directing projects at DCT include Grace for President; A Charlie Brown Christmas; The Addams Family; The Happy Elf; Willy Wonka, Jr.; Into the Woods, Jr.; Little Women; Annie, Jr.; Alice in Wonderland; ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas; Next Stop Broadway; and Miracle on 34th Street. Doug was Performance Director for Barney & Friends (PBS) and has directed and performed at most professional theaters in DFW, including Theatre Three, Uptown Players, WaterTower Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theater, MainStage Irving-Las Colinas, Second Thought Theatre, and The Firehouse Theatre. Doug has received the Dallas Theatre League, The Column, Dallas Observer, and the prestigious DFW Critics Forum awards for Acting & Directing. “Mr. Doug” is committed to enhancing and changing the lives of young performers. He is incredibly proud of these actors and the production team.
Music Director
Adam C. Wright is a prolific pianist, composer, accompanist, and director who has maintained a lengthy and abundant career across North Texas. Music directing productions at Dallas Children’s Theater, WaterTower Theatre, Uptown Players, Imprint Theatreworks, and Theatre Three, to name a few, he rarely finds a moment when his fingers are away from the keys. Completed original works include A Taste of Beauty, Mama: A Musical, If a Frog Had Wings, and Another Night at the Starlight Lounge. He also worked as Betty Buckley’s rehearsal pianist for her show The Other Woman – The Vixens of Broadway. You can find him collaborating with vocalists at various cabaret venues and piano bars across the Metroplex.
Choreographer
Kelly McCain is always excited to be working with the talented DCT students. Her work has been seen at Theatre Three, WaterTower Theatre, Richland College, The Firehouse Theatre, Junior Players, and Wishing Star Productions. Recent choreography credits include Follies at Garland Civic Theater, Jada Bells at Uptown Players, Aida and Tarzan at Lyric Stage, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at MainStage Irving-Las Colinas, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Garland Summer Musicals, and Bright Star at Dallas Young Artists.
Choreographer
Megan is delighted to be working with DCT and Doug Miller. Mrs. Bates has choreographed shows all over the DFW area including Theatre Three, WaterTower Theatre, Jubilee Theatre and MainStage Irving-Las Colinas to name a few. Megan is no stranger to the stages in the DFW area and was named Best Actress in D Magazine’s 2013 “Best of” for her performance in Avenue Q.
Choreographer
Ania Lyons is a local theater artist and is excited to collaborate with Dallas Children’s Theater once again after A Charlie Brown Christmas (Frieda). They have performed, choreographed, and assistant stage managed all over the DFW metroplex. Previous experience includes work at Dallas Theater Center, Casa Mañana, WaterTower Theatre, Prism Movement Theater, Theatre Three, Lyric Stage, and more. Notable favorite credits at Dallas
Children’s Theater include Grace for President (Grace); Elephant and Piggie’s: We Are in a Play! (Squirrelle #2); Dragons Love Tacos (Blue Dragon); The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Susan); Junie B’s Essential Survival Guide (May); and more. Lighting Designer/Board Op
Vinchenzo continues his second season with DCT as the Master Electrician. He is excited about the opportunity to design lighting for Next Stop Broadway and looks forward to supporting the next generation of artists. A special thanks goes to his friends and family who continue to support him in his own artistic endeavors.
Sound Designer
Marco has designed many, MANY shows for DCT over the last 22 years. He is also a recipient of numerous awards for his sound design work in the Dallas/Fort Worth theater scene and has designed for shows as far away as New York City and even Ireland. He is also the Director of Educational Tours with Shakespeare Dallas where he writes and directs local area tours that teach children and teens about William Shakespeare.
Costume Designer
Lyle has been a working costumer in the Dallas area for over 30 years. He has designed over 50+ shows for Dallas Children’s Theater. Some of his favorites include The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; Ella Enchanted: the Musical; Treasure Island Reimagined!; Jungalbook; James and the Giant Peach; Junie B. Jones Is Not a Crook; The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane; Pinkalicious, The Musical; and Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale. Other regional credits include The Dallas Opera, Dallas Theater Center, Shakespeare Dallas, San Antonio Opera, and The Dallas Arboretum’s The 12 Days of Christmas. National tours for HIT Entertainment include Barney Live! and The Wiggles. He also worked on the locally produced PBS television show, Barney and Friends receiving two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Costume Design/Styling. He is in his 11th year as the Resident Costume Designer/ Costume Shop Manager at Dallas Children’s Theater.
Education Production Manager
CaitLyne is the Assistant Production Manager and Resident Stage Manager at Dallas Children’s Theater. Recent productions include DCT’s A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Secret Life of Girls (Lighting Designer), Charlotte’s Web (Stage Manager), Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! (Deck Manager), and Last Stop on Market Street (Deck Manager). She was also a Production Apprentice during the 2021-2022 season. CaitLyne has a BFA from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Education Director
Julianna Wright brings more than 20 years of experience in education and theater, with an extensive background in Arts Education and Management. She has been a theater educator throughout Texas including San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. Before coming to Dallas to teach K-5 with Dallas Independent School District, she spent five years teaching K-12+ English as a Foreign Language in Japan. Wright has helped formulate and contribute to the development of theater curriculum for grades K-12 with several Texas school districts and is using her experience to develop and usher in a new level of arts education at DCT since she became Director of Education in Fall 2024. She has a passion for fostering positive learning environments and has demonstrated a commitment to inclusive, diverse, and high-quality educational programming.
