In compliance to article 17, law 679 of 2001, Macondo DMC notifies tourists that commercial sexual exploitation or sexual abuse of minors is sanctioned with criminal and legal action according to Colombian current laws. Macondo DMC acts in accordance to the code of conduct under law 1336 of 2009.

El jardín botánico es un mundo lleno de color y naturaleza, con un área de 19,5 hectáreas. Su nombre honra la memoria de José Celestino Mutis Sage, Director de la Expedición Botánica.

El parque promueve y lleva a cabo actividades de conservación, educación ambiental e investigación sobre la diversidad de la flora colombiana, particularmente en la sabana de Bogotá.

The botanical garden is a world within itself, full of color and nature this park has an area of 19,5 hectares. Its name honors the memory of Jose Celestino Mutis Sage, the director of the Botanical Expedition. The park promotes wildlife and periodically carries out conservation activities, environmental education and research on the diversity of Colombian flora and fauna to promote awareness on the subject, particularly about the savannah of Bogota.

Disfruta jugando el verdadero deporte nacional de Colombia. Hace más de 600 años, en un ejercicio de puntería y habilidad, los muiscas lanzaban discos hechos de oro a cajas rellenas con arcilla: entre más discos aterrizaban en el centro de la caja, mayor era el puntaje del jugador. El juego tuvo la fortuna de sobrevivir la época colonial, y para el siglo XX recibió una importante adición: el uso de pólvora.

Enjoy playing the real national sport of Colombia.

Over 600 years ago, in a show of aim and skill, the Muiscas used to throw discs made out of gold to boxes filled with clay. The closer to the center of the box the better your score. The game survived colonial times and by the 20th century a very important addition to the game was made: gunpowder!

Gabriel García Márquez was chosen in 1982 as Nobel Prize in Literature thanks to his novel One Hundred Years of Solitude, he fell in love with literature during his high school studies in the city of Zipaquira. This emblematic building, historical and intangible heritage of humanity, has been the headquarters of different educational institutions over time. Today, it is the headquarters of the Casa de la Cultura of the city.

The Legend of El Dorado recounts a precolonial time when the indigenous Muisca priests submerged themselves in the sacred lake of Guatavita. Covered in gold dust, they conducted sacred ceremonies to pay tribute to the spirit of the water with gold artifacts forged and hammered by their most skilled artisans.

The gold, however, was coveted by the Spanish conquistadors and subsequent gold seekers who attempted to steal the valuable pieces by different means.
