Our Enhanced Affiliation is designed to provide tailored programmes delivered in your school throughout the term. A member of DCCT staff will deliver in your school for either half a day (12:30pm - 4:30pm) or full day per week (9:00am - 4:30pm).

A typical half day can include a lunchtime club, two afternoon curriculum support lessons (working alongside a school teacher or teaching assistant), and an after school club. Activities can rotate on a half termly basis, enabling as many pupils to benefit as possible.

Premier League Primary Stars is a national curriculum linked education programme using the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

In partnership with the Premier League, we work with schools to deliver fun, educational sessions across a range of programmes. We are excited to share information about the programmes available at a subsidised price, through the Premier League Primary Stars Affiliation and Bolt On programmes.

Our range of programmes support children to engage with core curriculum subjects, including Literacy, Maths, PSHE and STEM, along with opportunities for pupils to take part in Projects for Positive Change, designed to encourage them to think about how to make a difference in their local communities.

All our Primary Stars programmes are explained in further detail later in this booklet.

Enhanced Affiliation Our Premier League Primary Stars Enhanced Affiliation is designed for schools who wish to access a range of PLPS sessions throughout the term, including those focusing on PE, numeracy, literacy, PSHE, social action and girls only football. Funding from the Premier League Charitable Fund enables us to offer these programmes at a subsidised rate, meaning the Premier League Primary Stars Enhanced Affiliation is a cost-effective way of including these programmes within the termly plan.

In order to qualify for the PLPS Enhanced Affiliation, schools must commit to accessing at least 3 Premier League Primary Stars specific programmes over the term, as well as providing monitoring and evaluation data which allows us to measure impact and report back to our funders.

A reading intervention for pupils who are reluctant readers. Developed in partnership with the Premier League and National Literacy Trust, the programme gives pupils the opportunity to practice their reading skills and engages pupils using the world of football.

Aimed at: • Intervention for pupils in year 3/4 and year 5/6 (max 16 pupils per group).

• Pupils who are not motivated to read or prefer work presented in an alternative way.

• Pupils who enjoy sport, particularly football.

What it includes: • 10x one hour sessions covering skills such as: active learning, interactive videos, personal challenges and real life scenarios from the world of football.

Targeted Interventions Resilient Rammie Included in PLPS Enhanced

The Resilient Rammie programme has been developed in line with PSHE statutory learning outcomes. It gives pupils an understanding of how to develop resilience, build self-esteem and work co-operatively as a team using football to engage pupils.

The programme takes a holistic approach to address emotional health and wellbeing around key milestones within year 6.

Winning Minds supports pupils with highpressure moments, addressing issues directly and sensitively.

Aimed at: • KS1 and KS2 (year 3, 4 or 5).

• The programme can be delivered to a full class or as a targeted intervention.

Aimed at: • Year 6 pupils.

• The programme can be delivered to a full class or as a targeted intervention.

What it includes: 6x one hour sessions covering topics such as: • KS1: Feelings, understanding resilience, identifying your superhero, working towards goals and teamwork.

Our PPA Coaching is delivered by qualified coaches and is designed to enrich the school’s existing PE offer. These sessions aim to increase children’s levels of physical activity, their enjoyment of being active and allow teachers valuable time for planning, preparation and assessment.

As well as our schools based programmes, we also run holiday courses and HAF (funded Holiday Activities and Food) sessions during school holidays. Children can enjoy a day of coaching delivered by our qualified and experienced staff and take part in activities designed to be fun, engaging and to improve their skills.

WHAT IT INCLUDES: • Choose from a range of topics and sports including generic themes of invasion games, net and wall, FUNdamentals and striking and fielding, or more sport specific topics such as football, athletics and tennis.

In partnership with the EFL Trust and Ferrero UK, the Joy of Moving programme is designed to help children develop their physical, cognitive and social skills in a fun and educational way.

The Physical Literacy programme was developed

by Derby City Physical Literacy Partnership, including physiotherapists, to improve the levels of physical development in schools in Derby.

Rammie’s Little Movers is a 6 week programme based around the story ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ which includes a range of games, songs and activities to develop good physical development and knowledge and understanding of healthy eating.

Rammie’s Munch and Crunch is aimed at schools who want to increase physical activity, health and wellbeing opportunities across the whole school community.

WHAT IT INCLUDES: • 6x one hour sessions for one class covering topics including healthy eating, oral health and supporting physical development.

Rambots is our STEM programme, created to engage pupils through fun, interactive coding challenges using Sphero BOLT robots.

Designed for children aged 3 to 6 years old, hosted at the Little Chester Allotment. The programme aims to foster children’s connection with the natural world through activities like planting, harvesting, and learning about food growth, also working on fine motor skills.

The 6 week programme introduces children to coding programmes including Draw, Block and Javascript and is suitable for both KS1 and KS2.

AIMED AT: • KS1 or KS2 pupils.

WHAT IT INCLUDES: • 6x one hour sessions (large indoor space eg. hall required).
