Schools must be core affiliated to access the enhanced affiliation Our Enhanced Affiliation is designed to provide tailored programmes delivered in your school throughout the year. A member of DCCT staff will work alongside an existing teacher/teaching assistant for either half a day (12:30pm 4:30pm) or full day per week (9:00am - 4:30pm).

A typical half day can include a lunchtime club, two afternoon curriculum support lessons and an after school club. Activities can rotate on a half termly basis, enabling as many staff and pupils to benefit as possible.

Premier League Primary Stars is a national curriculum linked education programme using the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

In partnership with the Premier League, we work with schools to deliver fun, educational sessions across a range of programmes. We are excited to share information about the programmes available at a subsidised price, through the Premier League Primary Stars Affiliation and Bolt On programmes.

Our range of programmes support children to engage with core curriculum subjects, including Literacy, Maths, PSHE and STEM, along with opportunities for pupils to take part in Projects for Positive Change, designed to encourage them to think about how to make a difference in their local communities.

All our Primary Stars programmes are explained in further detail later in this booklet.

Enhanced Affiliation Our Premier League Primary Stars Enhanced Affiliation is designed for schools who wish to access a range of PLPS sessions throughout the school year, including those focusing on PE, numeracy, literacy, PSHE, social action and girls only football. Funding from the Premier League Charitable Fund enables us to offer these programmes at a subsidised rate, meaning the PLPS Enhanced Affiliation is a cost-effective way of including these programmes within the yearly plan.

The Resilient Rammie programme has been developed in line with PSHE statutory learning outcomes. It gives pupils an understanding of how to develop resilience, build self-esteem and work co-operatively as a team using football to engage pupils.

The programme takes a holistic approach to address emotional health and wellbeing around key milestones within year 6.

Winning Minds supports pupils with highpressure moments, addressing issues directly and sensitively.

Aimed at: • KS1 and KS2 (year 3, 4 or 5).

• The programme can be delivered to a full class or as a targeted intervention.

What it includes: 6x one hour sessions covering topics such as: • KS1: Feelings, understanding resilience, identifying your superhero, working towards goals and teamwork.

What it includes: This programme runs throughout the academic year, with two key elements being delivered during Spring 2 and Summer 2.

The 6 week project focuses on climate change, including the impact that football clubs can have on the environment and culminates in a trip to The Young People’s Forest at Mead to plant or cultivate trees.

Our PPA Coaching is delivered by qualified coaches and is designed to enrich the school’s existing PE offer. These sessions aim to increase children’s levels of physical activity, their enjoyment of being active and allow teachers valuable time for planning, preparation and assessment.

As well as our schools based programmes, we also run holiday courses and HAF (funded Holiday Activities and Food) sessions during school holidays. Children can enjoy a day of coaching delivered by our qualified and experienced staff and take part in activities designed to be fun, engaging and to improve their skills.

The Physical Literacy programme was developed

by Derby City Physical Literacy Partnership, including physiotherapists, to improve the levels of physical development in schools in Derby.

• Coaches can work with a full class of children (alongside existing teacher or TA).

WHAT IT INCLUDES:

• Increasing pupils’ awareness of the importance of being active.

• Understanding the impact of physical activity on the body and mind.

• Educating pupils on the importance of a balanced diet.

• Training session to understand what physical literacy is, how to assess physical development and run the intervention exercises.

• Initial assessment of 30 pupils by our team and feedback of data.

• 6 week intervention run in school for 15 minutes a day (by school staff) with two mentoring visits from our team.

• Post assessment of intervention children and feedback of data.

• Fast track referral process to the children’s therapy team for pupils who do not make expected progress after two rounds of intervention.

Rammie’s Little Movers is a 6 week programme based around the story ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ which includes a range of games, songs and activities to develop good physical development and knowledge and understanding of healthy eating.

Rammie’s Munch and Crunch is aimed at schools who want to increase physical activity, health and wellbeing opportunities across the whole school community.

• EYFS Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

WHAT IT INCLUDES: • 6x one hour sessions for one class covering topics including healthy eating, oral health and supporting physical development.

• Access to centralised training for EYFS staff.

KEY OUTCOMES: Rammie’s Little Movers supports EYFS outcomes and physical literacy milestones, in particular: • Support for the physical development early learning goals for gross and fine motor skills.

• Support for the Literacy comprehension early learning goals.

• Improving children’s physical development and knowledge and understanding of healthy eating.

• Increasing staff confidence to improve physical literacy outcomes.

Rambots is our STEM programme, created to engage pupils through fun, interactive coding challenges using Sphero BOLT robots.

Designed for children aged 3 to 6 years old, hosted at the Little Chester Allotment. The programme aims to foster children’s connection with the natural world through activities like planting, harvesting, and learning about food growth, also working on fine motor skills.

The 6 week programme introduces children to coding programmes including Draw, Block and Javascript and is suitable for both KS1 and KS2.

AIMED AT: • KS1 or KS2 pupils.

WHAT IT INCLUDES: • 6x one hour sessions (large indoor space eg. hall required).

• Access to 15x Sphero BOLT robots.

• Access to 15x tablets.
