CAPTURE THE PULSE OF NATURE
What is a nature journal?
A nature journal, or nature sketchbook, is an illustrated journal for creatively recording your observations and experiences with nature.
You don’t need to be a scientist, naturalist, or artist — it’s for anyone!
Throughout the Garden today there will be prompts of ideas for drawings in these sketchbooks.
We invite you to record what the Garden means to you.

Biometrics
Measure a plant with your body. When you draw the plant in your nature journal, make a note of how tall it is compared to you.
You can even add a picture of yourself in comparison — stick figures are fine! About knee height? Almost as tall as you?
When you draw that item in your journal, make a note of its size.
As long as your hand? As wide as your thumb?
