LUMINARIAS

2022 PROGRAM

Welcome Welcome to the Garden’s desert wonderland as we celebrate 45 years of Las Noches de las Luminarias. What began with 700 hand-lit paper bags and homemade cookies has blossomed into an event that has attracted nearly 3 million visitors since its first year and has grown to 8,000 hand-lit bags and thousands of twinkling lights. This year, glowing luminaria bags intermingle with the bold and cheerful sculptural installations by Rotraut in the Gardenwide exhibit Playing with Stars. Experience the sparkling, colorful artworks along the trails and in Ottosen Gallery. Thank you for choosing to spend your holidays at the Garden and we wish you a festive season.

GARDEN GO LIKE A PRO Don’t be shy– anyone with a name badge and twinkling lights is happy to help. Many of our plants look soft, but they do bite. Please look, but don’t touch. Stay on the trails at all times. Desert plants have very shallow roots.

Visit our Garden Shop to find the perfect holiday gifts. Enjoy a meal or quick bite to eat at Gertrude’s* or Patio Café. *Reservations highly recommended
