NP&R is working toward a future defined by unparalleled connectivity. This vision features the exciting new additions of Legacy Park, Central Park, and River Park, as well as the renovation of Ford Field, all seamlessly connected by non-motorized pathways. This pathway will also connect these key destinations to a new Farmers Market, offering residents and visitors easy access to recreation, nature, and community spaces, all within a 10-15 minute walk or bike ride.

The Downs development, with its integrated parks and trails system, including Central Park and River Park, is a world-class park project with unparalleled walkability and connectivity to vibrant and historic downtown Northville. This project will establish Northville as an epicenter of the Third Place in the Detroit Metro area.

Over the next five years, Northville’s park acreage will double as our park system adds three major new amenities. This represents an unwavering commitment on behalf of Northville’s leaders and residents to leave the status quo behind and set a new standard of recreation experiences.

We are helping establish Northville as a premier destination for outdoor recreation, community events, and family-friendly activities in Michigan- setting a standard that other communities will aspire to.
