Reputational Damage: What Does it Mean For Your Business?
An organization's reputation can be damaged if it loses financial, social, or market share capital as a result. However, reputational damage is not considered an intangible asset. The damages to a company's reputation are often assessed through reductions in revenue, increases in capital, operating, or regulatory costs, or significant decreases in value. Some common attacks on reputations include ethical violations, safety issues, employee or customer injuries, poor customer service, criminal charges, data leaks, and scathing customer reviews, among others.
