DBA CLE News Hello!

Can it really be that time of the year? It’s Time for Convenient, Affordable and Relevant CLE! It is not too early to consider your CLE options. With the DBA, your CLE options are convenient, affordable, relevant and numerous!

- The DBA provides more than 300 hours of CLE programming annually, including more than 20 programs in December alone.

- Attorneys, paralegals, legal administrators and law students are welcome to attend CLE seminars.

CLE PAPERLESS INITIATIVE

Beginning August 2015, the DBA is embracing a greener approach to producing CLE programs.

This exciting initiative will involve promotion of many CLE programs through exclusively electronic mediums (such as email, DBA website, and Facebook page) rather than through print. It will also involve providing seminar materials via electronic vs. printed format.

The Initiative

To Serve Your Evolving Needs *e-materials will provide you with more flexible options for storing and accessing your seminar materials (before, during, and after the seminar) and will be available for download by seminar registrants before programs on the DBAs website.

Providing a Supportive Learning Environment *To facilitate convenient access to your e-materials on your tablet or laptop during seminars, the DBA has increased the bandwidth of the wireless network within our offices.

*We’re flexible. While e-materials will be the main format for future seminars, we understand that some programs will not lend themselves to e-materials. In such cases, print handouts will be provided, in all cases where e-materials are used, print handouts will be available for purchase for a small additional fee.

Quality AND Affordability The vast majority of the CLE programs are developed by DBA members generously volunteering their time as committee leaders. Great effort is made to ensure that our CLE programs are of high quality and affordable.

DBA CLE Guidelines Location: All seminars are held in the DBA Seminar Room unless otherwise noted in the program listing.

Day of Program Registration: All registration fees listed are those charged to participants who pre-register for a program at least 24 hours in advance.

Walk-Ins are accepted on a first-come/first-served/space-available basis and an additional $15 fee will be charged.

Cancellation/Transfer Policy: The DBA reserves the right to modify or cancel a program if circumstances warrant. If canceled, full tuition will be refunded.

Cancellations by program participants received by 4pm the business day prior to the program will be refunded less a $25 service fee. No refunds or transfers are given for cancellations received on or after the day of the program.

Services for Persons with Disabilities: If a registrant requires special arrangements in order to participate in a DBA program, please contact the DBA at least one week prior to the course date to allow time to provide the necessary reasonable accommodations.

The DBA wants to make meeting your CLE requirements as convenient as possible. To that end, we, in conjunction with the Ohio Metropolitan Bar Association Consortium (OMBAC), have partnered with FastCLE so that you may easily and conveniently earn up to twelve credit hours of CLE each reporting period.
