Facilities Committee Drafts 15-Year Plan By Aaron Rubin Staff Writer MADISON

The ad hoc Facilities Committee has completed a draft of its comprehensive Building and Land Use Plan, which it describes as a “forward-looking document that outlines a vision for how the town will manage its buildings and land” over the next 15 years.

According to committee Chairman David Kadamus, the plan is the culmination of nearly three years of work and several presentations to multiple town boards. The plan, which contains the committee’s most current evaluation of public property, was presented to the Board of Selectmen on July 20. As stated in presentation slides prepared by Kadamus, the plan’s overarching goal is to

shift the town’s planning toward a more proactive, integrated model — one that ensures future capital investments are factbased and supported by strong community consensus and strategic vision. The committee emphasizes that the plan is not a master plan and that its
