Holiday Art Expo Tradition Returns to GAC By Aaron Rubin Staff Writer
The 47th annual Holiday Expo has returned to the Guilford Art Center, showcasing multitudes of art projects by independent painters, crafters, and sculptures from across the Connecticut shoreline. The expo has been running since Novem-
ber and will close on Jan. 11. While the shop at the art center is open year round, the holiday season sees it double in size and showcases the work of a variety of art projects, from clothing, paintings, home goods, jewelry, and ornaments. Maureen Belden, executive director at the art center, said it is “really exciting to see the incredible breadth of talent in all these dif-
ferent media of local and local, regional and American artisans.” The purchase of the many projects on display will support both the art center and the artists, which is “one of our big mandates,” said Belden. The display has received positive feedback See Holiday Art Expo page 6
