Lake Daylesford This is the perfect place to relax by the water or go for the 45 minute walk around the lake’s gentle, sloping treelined path, taking in a couple of stops (the jetty is a good one) to soak up the stunning vistas.

Hanging Rock Formed six million years ago by volcanic action, Hanging Rock is the haunting subject of the Picnic at Hanging Rock book and film, and looms large over the region.

Trentham Falls One of the longest single drop waterfalls in Victoria, dramatically plunging 32 metres, Trentham Falls was formed five million years ago when rapidly cooling lava flowed along the old Coliban River valley.

Lavandula is always charming and unique. The Mill Markets are fun for bowerbirds. The main street of Daylesford has hidden aspects, just walk down and eat where you feel, none will disappoint. Any direction you drive in is beautiful. I think just take a step back and you’ll find your way.

WHAT COULDN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT IN THE REGION? I think the flowers in spring are mindblowing. Everybody loves their gardens and after a chilly winter the gardens throw out a fireworks display that is such a joy to witness.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF WAKING UP IN THE REGION? The fresh air. The birds flying overhead. The crispness of the air. Knowing there are so many great places to have breakfast. Our unique conference facility located in an 1865 Guesthouse boasts two conference rooms and dining facilities.

Our main conference room is 155m2 and is a restored Victorian Style room with modern set-up including internet connection, projector, screen, electronic whiteboard and DVD.
