Salvador Dalek :: Birth. Day 035.

1991 saw release of the first disc in the Day For Night imprint, introducing composer Eric Scott to new music cir cles with “3 Mains” (Day 001). A collection of fifteen suites and miniatures arranged for piano and ensem ble, these recordings are constructed and emulated via lo-fi syn thetics and samples in lieu of a proper chamber orches tra. For this moving collec tion of pieces, Eric adopted the genre “avant-garde-jazzclassical – an edgier and more insistent, antithetical cousin to easy listening.”
