Callow Hall in Derbyshire sits within 35 acres of perfectly manicured gardens and woodland. This country house hotel wanted to make the absolute most of its highly sought after Peak District location – the Dawnvale team was on hand to ensure just that with the design, build and

STYLISH & WELCOMING
In order to allow more guests to relax, refresh and drink in the beautiful seasonal views, we designed and built a glass extension which perfectly compliments this grand Victorian country house.
COMPLIMENTING NATURE
Our design for the room included warming, wooden accents with a large bar area, comfortable seating and a dining area where guests can enjoy a seasonal menu surrounded by nature.
LIVING GARDEN
In addition to amplifying the natural light and allowing a seamless inside, outside transition, the expansive glass roof also features a living garden, adding additional greenery to the space.

Scope: Full Turnkey Fit Out
We worked closely with project designers to undertake a complete turnkey fit out at Holiday Inn Manchester –Central Park, manufacturing bespoke metal screens and fittings, supplying and fitting a brand new bar and furniture, carrying out structural work and refurnishing the area as a whole.
The open plan lobby is the latest design concept by Holiday Inn, allowing guests to circulate freely in a relaxing space. Our brief for the Central Park site was to incorporate this spacious feel while taking inspiration from Manchester’s industrial history.

TURNKEY FIT OUT
This was a full turnkey fit out project, including furniture, bar and servery counter, flooring and lighting, new private dining and meeting rooms, bespoke wall and ceiling finishes, and reception desks.
BESPOKE METALWORK
We designed and manufactured a lot of bespoke metalwork for this project to tie in with the industrial Manchester theme, including heavy duty industrial style mill doors, and metal display cases with solid oak shelving.
LOGISTICS
We planned carefully in order to keep the hotel open during this six-week project. We worked on the entrance and reception area at night, clearing all clutter away before morning.
CENTRAL BAR SYSTEM
The central bar has a low back bar, giving customers a clear view through to the lobby. The mild steel back bar display has shutter style doors, complementing the industrial look and providing additional security at night.

The beautiful Gwydyr Hotel is nestled in the very heart of Snowdonia. The Victorian building’s stunning natural backdrop offers the perfect setting for a truly relaxing getaway. With two thrids of the hotel already renovated, the Gwydyr team commissioned Dawnvale to complete the last piece of the puzzle. They appointed us to transform the old tea room into an intimate, modern dining space with breakfast area.
To honour the building’s 19th-century design and encourage customers to savour their dining experience, we crafted an interior with a cosy ambiance. We accomplished this by adding new wall, floor, and ceiling finishes, and installing timber flooring that connects guests to the natural splendour of the hotel surroundings.
The rennovated tearoom now doubles as a breakfast room for residents, and a restaurant for visitors to relish seasonal local cuisine. We designed a customised breakfast counter that cleverly conseals behind bi-fold doors when not in use, while elegantly displaying self-service breakfast dishes and beverages every morning.
To create a warm, luxurios atmosphere in the restaurant, we crafted custom tables, seating, and soft furnishings. Our bespoke tabletops boast a tactile blend of wood and marble to elevate the sense of opulence. Premium fabrics, rich hues, and diverse seating, including chairs, stools, and banquet seating, further enhance the ambiance.
The transformation of the old tearoom into a stylish new restaurant and breakfast area was completed over a six week period. The hotel was able to stay operational during this time. All work was carried out with careful consideration for the guests staying at the hotel to minimise any disruption or noise they may have experienced.

With nine bedrooms, two restaurants and two bars set over three oors, the beautifully styled Y Seler Restaurant has been a two-year labour of love for siblings Llyr and Llinos Thomas.
They approached Dawnvale after completing the purchase of the former Monachty Arms in March 2020, with a brief that included a complete renovation and redesign.

TIMELINEFIT OUT
After acquiring the former pub, a 24-month period of renovations commenced, punctuated by two pandemic lockdowns. All plumbing and electrical wiring was replaced and the building underpinned. A new space was carved out of the earth below the pub to create a state-ofthe-art electric kitchen, 5ft below the existing foundations.
Dawnvale designed and then installed each of Y Seler’s three bars during the restaurant’s t out. The three bars are located in the lounge and piano bar, the restaurant and in the VIP space for private dining. Each bar invokes a sense of luxury but differs in design to suit the individual space. This ethos is true throughout the property.
DÉCORUNIQUE DETAILS
The décor is opulent and indulgent and makes use of a selection of premium materials and variety of textures. Guests observe a curated variety of styles throughout, carefully brought together in harmony to appeal to a wider selection of tastes. Across each of the interiors, there are nods to the locality of the venue as a seafront property.
Unique detailing is featured throughout Y Seler thanks to carefully sourced bespoke features and opulent furnishings. The waterfront location was a source of inspiration for the textural and colour palette of the interior, with a nod to natural and rustic materials evidenced everywhere from the piano bar to the main restaurant.

Ideally located along Llandudno’s promenade and beachfront, this historic hotel, originally built in 1890, recently underwent a complete renovation. We were referred by the Gwydr Hotel for our proven expertise in high-quality, fast-track t-outs, as the nal phase required rapid completion ahead of peak season.
Entrusted with enhancing the hotel’s appeal, we swiftly transformed the reception, snug bar, waiting room, and hallways, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Now beautifully restored in 2024, the hotel boasts 22 stunning rooms and the 1890 Bar & Restaurant, positioning it as one of the nest destinations along the promenade

With two entrances for added convenience, the hallways exude heritage and style from the moment guests arrive. A stunning black-and-white patterned tile oor, light textured wallpaper, and carefully crafted lighting enhance the space. The reception desk, featuring a striking slate frontage, Tektura plaster, and black quartz accents, is beautifully complemented by an illuminated “Cae Mor” sign, providing a warm and elegant welcome.
For the 1890 Restaurant, we created an elegant dining experience with stunning sea views from most tables, open to both guests and the public. The space features herringbone wood ooring, oak and black stone tabletops, leather-seated chairs, and cozy booth seating. Brass lighting, switches, and plugs add unique character, while Clarke & Clarke Amal Eggplant curtains complement the timber and stone wall features, enhancing the re ned yet comfortable atmosphere.

We installed a bespoke bar in the Snug featuring black stone tops, green handmade tiles on the front, and a polished brass beer pump. An impressive full-length illuminated step with a mirror-backed oating shelf display graces the back bar, creating a striking rst impression. The room is enhanced by distressed leather banquette seating, stone-topped tables, textured wallpaper, and wall lights, resulting in a stylish and welcoming atmosphere.
Located at the front of the hotel with stunning sea views, this casual space invites guests to relax. It features detailed wallpaper adorned with exotic animals, with velvet-lined chairs surrounding low circular coffee tables. Dark timber and stone paneling enhance the feature shelving units, while brass accents in handles, plug sockets, switches, and light xtures add elegance. Strategically placed feature lights complete the stylish atmosphere, making it the perfect nish for this hotel.

Located in the town of Ashbourne, the owners of The Machine Inn reached out to us at the Restaurant Show to discuss their exciting expansion plans. They were relocating from their existing restaurant to a larger space in the historic former NatWest Bank building, which had been vacant since 2017.
Designed by Rachel McLane Ltd, this new venue opened up the oppertunity for a larger bar, increased restaurant capacity as well as the addition of the new hotel accommodation. The result is a premium look that maintains the same beloved style, enhancing the hospitality experience for their loyal customer base in this iconic location.
SOPHISTICATED BAR AMBIANCEPRIVATE VAULT DINING
The bar area welcomes guests with a stunning mosaic oor featuring the logo at the entrance. A striking bar, complete with a clock integrated into the gantry, draws attention, while the illuminated back bar creates an inviting atmosphere. The green uted velvet frontage adds a touch of elegance, complemented by brass highlights throughout the space. Cozy seating options, including chairs, stools, and sofas, provide a comfortable environment for patrons to relax and enjoy their experience.
We transformed the original bank vault into a unique private dining space, retaining the original vault doors despite their challenging nature. To enhance accessibility, we opened one of the walls to create a secondary entrance, making the space both functional and inviting. This transformation not only preserves the historical character of the vault but also adds an intriguing feature to the venue, offering guests a distinctive and exclusive dining experience.
As you move through the bar toward the back of the building, you’ll discover the dining area. The main space features back-to-back banquet seating that divides the room, maximising the restaurant capacity. Additional booths and banquet seating ll the surrounding areas, complemented by oak timber walls. The mix of red leather and velvet banquet seating, along with white stone and dark oak tabletops, adds elegance, while a large mirror ceiling enhances the sense of space and light.
Situated directly between the bar and restaurant area, the fully electric kitchen was designed with the building’s age in mind. We navigated speci c planning constraints related to odour and noise attenuation, ensuring a comfortable environment for both diners and surrounding neighbours. To enhance ef ciency and add a touch of theatre to the dining experience, we also installed a open kitchen pass. This thoughtful design ensures seamless service while maintaining the high standards expected in a modern dining establishment.
A returning client we’re proud to work with again, Donnington Valley Hotel & Spa appointed Dawnvale to refurbish their reception bar and mezzanine level. Set in the heart of Berkshire, this privately owned luxury hotel is renowned for its award-winning restaurant, health club, and golf course, all re ecting the same high standards carried through to this latest project.
Building on our long-standing relationship, which includes previous work across the hotel’s estate, we collaborated closely with their team and designer to deliver a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. The transformation features handpainted walls, re ned nishes, and bespoke joinery, all completed seamlessly within a live hotel environment.

ELEGANT FIRST IMPRESSIONSA BAR DESIGNED TO STAND OUT
We installed a striking feature reception desk that wouldn’t look out of place in a high-end restaurant. The natural stone frontage, complemented by matching stone wall panels and brass detailing, creates a re ned, timeless welcome for guests the moment they enter.
In this open-plan setting, the bar needed to make a statement. The hexagonal design and tall freestanding back bar create a bold focal point, while the uted timber frontage, quartz countertop, and rich walnut surrounds deliver a perfect balance of modern sophistication and classic warmth.
SEAMLESS WORK IN A LIVE ENVIRONMENTMODERN DESIGN, TRADITIONAL CHARM
Minimising disruption was essential for a busy operational hotel. Our team developed exible, agile schedules and collaborated closely with hotel staff to ensure the venue remained open throughout the refurbishment, completing the project ef ciently and on time.
Across multiple areas of the hotel, we refreshed the interiors with a modern edge while retaining the venue’s traditional charm. Feature elements were carefully emphasised to celebrate Donnington Valley’s established character, blending heritage with contemporary design.
