As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, we pause to reflect on our past accomplishments and extend our sincere appreciation to all who have positively impacted The Davis Academy. Your active involvement and generous contributions during the 2023-2024 school year have made a profound difference, and we are deeply thankful for your continued support.
Your generosity has touched many areas of our school, enriching our students’ experiences both in and out of the classroom, in Atlanta and beyond. Reflecting on the achievements of the past year, we are reminded of the vital role played by each individual in shaping our students’ lives. From one year to the next, and from generation to generation, The Davis Academy thrives because of the love and support of our caring community members.
The following pages highlight the many supporters who generously contributed their time and financial resources during the 20232024 school year, making The Davis Academy an extraordinary place of education for our children.
Our highly successful Davis Fund annual campaign, our school’s most important fundraiser, exceeded our goal, raising more than $700,000 to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of the transformative Davis education. We also greatly value the strong participation in the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, which allowed us to allocate over $730,000 in tuition scholarship funds for students at The Davis Academy. Additional program grants, life event tributes, and endowment fund contributions further strengthen the Davis experience in unique ways, now and in the future.
We are immensely grateful not only for the generosity of our supporters but also for the passion and dedication of the many volunteers who ensure our fundraising success and make great things happen at Davis. To all who have supported The Davis Academy through your financial contributions and volunteer efforts, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your support, combined with the dedication of our incredible faculty and staff, makes all that we accomplish possible.

We’re grateful for the families that make the Davis Fund a philanthropic priority.
Our family supports The Davis Academy with all our heart because it provides an exceptional blend of Jewish identity and well-rounded education that is vital for our children’s growth. At Davis, our sons not only receive a top-tier academic education that prepares them for future success but also gain a profound understanding and appreciation of their Jewish heritage. This dual focus helps them develop a strong sense of who they are, fostering values of community, tradition, and resilience. In a time when antisemitism is on the rise, it is more important than ever for them to feel proud and secure. The Davis Academy offers a nurturing environment where they can explore and embrace their Judaism while being equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the broader world. The school’s commitment to both academic excellence and religious education ensures that our children are well-rounded, confident, and prepared to face any challenges that come their way.
Jill and Michael Bernstein, Henry ’30, Bryce ’32
For the past eight years, The Davis Academy has been a central part of our community. Not only have our sons, Zachary and Ryan, found their friends, we have too. Zachary and Ryan are very different learners and Davis has met each of them where they are building confident, supportive, inquisitive self-advocates who are proud of their heritage with a deep understanding of Judaism and a love of Israel.
In addition to academics, Davis has given our children opportunities to shine outside the classroom with a wide range of athletics, extra-curricular activities and hands-on experiences through field trips in and outside of Atlanta. Being a part of the B’nai Mitzvah year at Davis was truly extraordinary. It was amazing to see how each student was celebrated by their school community and given the opportunity to lead in worship and prayer. For all these reasons our family supports The Davis Academy with our time and resources.
Amy and Evan Rosen, Zachary ’25, Ryan ’27
At one time or another, we all reflect on what our influence will be on future generations and what will happen to the institutions that we love and have supported for many years. By including The Davis Academy in your estate plan, you can assure that the traditions and institution that means so much to you today will exist for future generations. We are proud of the establishment of The Davis Academy Legacy Society.
A Legacy gift for The Davis Academy is a meaningful and relatively simple way to give to our community. Your Legacy can be easily created by including a bequest in your will, by adding The Davis Academy as a beneficiary on a portion of your retirement plan or by naming The Davis Academy as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
A
Provide financial assistance to all qualified students who wish to enroll.
Attract and retain compassionate, dedicated and experienced educators.
Ensure our students’ connection to their Jewish identity.
For more information on how to establish a Legacy gift or if you have already included The Davis Academy in your estate plan, please contact Elisa Prager, Director of Institutional Advancement at eprager@davisacademy.org or 678-527-3326.

We are grateful for contributions from community corporations who embrace the year-round opportunity to promote their organization while supporting our Davis athletes!
The Davis Academy Sports Sponsorship is a year-round opportunity to showcase a company’s brand, product or service to a wide audience attending school sports, including MAAC Division 1 A-team competitions at The Davis Academy Middle School. With participants and spectators from across the metro Atlanta area, representing approximately 10 schools, 6 sports at A, B, and C levels throughout the school year, businesses receive maximum visibility.
The Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program makes an extraordinary impact on The Davis Academy student body, providing financial aid for qualified students with financial need. Thank you to the following supporters of this program.

Establishing a Tribute Banking Account is a simple and convenient way to make honorariums and memorials. With an initial contribution of $300 to establish the account, your contribution can be used for an unlimited period of time, and your Tribute Banking Account will function just like a checking account. Each time you make a tribute, a personalized card will be promptly mailed acknowledging your gift in honor or memory of the person you designate. The amount of your gift will be deducted from your account. To become a “Tribute Banker” or to add to your existing Tribute Banking Account, contact Sharon Yokelson, Gifts and Records Manager, at 678-527-3317. You can also make a tribute online any time on our school’s website at davisacademy.org.

An endowment is a pool of funds that continues in perpetuity providing the ongoing support for priority program needs and for the future benefit and growth of the school. Endowment funds are active funds to which contributions and tributes can be made at any time.
Gifts to an endowment make a lasting tribute in honor or memory of individuals or loved ones. The principal of an endowment fund is invested for future earnings, providing a stream of income to support current needs.
These endowment funds enhance the educational experience of many students and faculty. We are grateful to these families for their foresight and thoughtfulness in making gifts of permanence in areas crucial to The Davis Academy’s future.

The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy, an accredited Reform Jewish Day School, provides an academically challenging environment with enriched curricula, integrating general academics and Judaic studies from Mechina: Kindergarten Prep through Eighth Grade. In a nurturing, secure environment, instructed by a faculty dedicated to excellence, children are encouraged to reach their highest potential. The Davis Academy strives to create a community in which children develop a life-long love for learning and commitment to Jewish life founded on morals, values, and ethics, grounded in Torah.
President
Brad
The Davis Academy is a proud beneficiary of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, which recognizes the crucial role The Davis Academy plays as Atlanta’s largest Mechina through 8th grade Jewish Day School. We thank the Federation and all those who contribute to its campaign for the financial support received this year.
