HEART OF GLASS IS THE NAME OF OUR BLONDE HAIR CARE LINE.

Addressing all blonde women is not easy, as every blonde woman is blonde in a different way and for different reasons. Heart of glass is for each one of them, without stereotypes and without models, but with a distinctive personality. Blonde is in fact the colour many women choose to mark a life change, when they want to be noticed, when they are comfortable in their own skin. The line and its name reflect the idea of a modern, strong, hyper-feminine and masculine blonde, punk and pop doll at the same time. All these contrasts make a blonde woman absolutely irresistible.

The pack is black and shiny like a patent leather jacket, and it is shaped like a Japanese whiskey bottle.The label on the contrary is satin dusty blue, with ivory flowers, reminiscent of a precious, ultrafeminine kimono. The expression “Heart of glass” refers to a delicate heart, prone to heartbreak. This is the idea behind Heart of glass, the product line that has been designed specifically to provide the care and maintenance required for the beauty of blonde hair, both natural and treated. In the Heart of glass formulations, the Davines laboratories have expertly combined cutting-edge technological ingredients with innovative natural raw materials, to obtain products with a proven cosmetic effect that protect and treat hair, with high percentages of naturalness and biodegradability. This makes Heart of glass the expert product line for blonde hair, that can be used easily and both in the salon and at home, for maintenance. The products of the Heart of glass line are produced and packaged at the Davines Village with energy entirely from renewable sources and CO2 offset. The bottles are made with post-consumer recycled plastic and are recyclable. All the products in the line are carbon neutral. The carbon dioxide emissions generated throughout the products’ lifecycle, excluding the use phase, are offset by EthioTrees, a proprietary “offsetting” project. The EthioTrees project supports the regeneration of soil and forests in Ethiopia’s northern region of Tigray, in the Tembien Highlands, that are at risk for desertification.

Shampoo for natural and treated blonde hair. It gently cleanses and clarifies, providing nourishment. The extract obtained from the Jagua fruit also balances unwanted tones, while it enhances and illuminates blonde shades. How to use: apply to scalp and damp hair, massaging gently. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary.

Intense cosmetic treatment for natural and treated blonde hair. Thanks to the exclusive Biacidic bond complex and the Baobab extract, it strengthens and repairs the hair fibre, helping to prevent breakage, for nourished and disciplined hair. How to use: apply to towel-dried hair along lengths and ends. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, comb and rinse thoroughly. The long processing time maximises the treatment’s effectiveness. If needed, follow with Rich conditioner. Use once a week, or more often if hair is very damaged.

Leave on for 5 minutes, then comb and rinse thoroughly. It can also be used after applying the Intense treatment.

Illuminating fluid for natural and treated blonde hair. Provides hydration, shine, and protects from heat and UV rays. Thanks to the exclusive active Fortifying botanical shield, from filming and reinforcing properties, it gives elasticity and vigour to the hair fiber, while helping to extend the duration of the blowdry. How to use: apply evenly 7 to 15 pumps on towel dried hair, comb through and proceed with desired styling.

BIACIDIC BOND COMPLEX The keratin structure of healthy hair is dense, thanks to the presence of intact disulfide bonds. When hair is frequently exposed to mechanical, chemical or environmental stresses, these bonds may break, damaging the hair. The Biacidic bond complex is a mix of molecules created and patented by the Davines Laboratories, which combines the high antioxidant power of the liposol maleate molecule with the strengthening power of maleic acid: while the former links to amino-acids repairing the broken bonds, the latter protects and strengthens them.

DAMAGED HAIR FIBRE

It has an extraordinary effect on hair, as it performs a double action: it promotes the repair of damage while preventing further damage from happening. The complex can be found in: Heart of glass Intense treatment and Rich conditioner.

BAOBAB EXTRACT An innovative extract obtained from the seeds of the Baobab, an iconic African plant, which deeply conditions, nourishes, tames and restores elasticity to the hair. It has also been proven to strengthen hair and make it easier to comb. This is why it’s used in all products of the Heart of glass line as a botanical alternative to silicones. The extract is obtained from baobab plantations that are planted and managed sustainably, in under-developed regions of Africa, to contribute to the economic growth of local populations. Thanks to the Baobab extract: Dry hair becomes easier to comb by up to +67%.* * Instrumental test performed on strands treated with Heart of glass Silkening shampoo and Rich conditioner enriched with Baobab extract compared to the same formulations without the extract.

FORTIFYING BOTANICAL SHIELD It’s an innovative natural multi-functional active ingredient originating from the Scandinavian spruce, created and patented by the Davines Laboratories (patent pending) and included in the formulation of Heart of glass Sheer glaze. It conditions and strengthens. Thanks to the film-forming properties of the molecule, it also imparts thermal protection, elasticity and helps the hairstyle to last longer. The active ingredient is obtained from Scandinavian spruces from forests managed sustainably, using energy from renewable sources.

JAGUA BLUE EXTRACT The extract with the characteristic indigo blue colour that enriches the formulations of Heart of glass Silkening shampoo and Rich conditioner is of entirely natural origin and is a plant-based alternative to synthetic dyes. The extract is obtained from Jagua (Genipa Americana), an edible fruit native to Colombia’s tropical forests. This particular extract stands out by the way in which it gently balances reflects and provides an illuminating action, which makes it ideal for all types of blonde. It can also be used at every wash, without the risk of chromatic overload. The extract is produced responsibly by a Colombian company, which supports local communities, guaranteeing the preservation of biodiversity, respecting traditional knowledge, and ensuring that profits are shared fairly along the supply chain. THE STRENGTH OF GENTLENESS Jagua extract is ideal for both cool and warm blondes; thanks to the way in which it controls reflects, it prevents cool blondes from turning warm and warm blondes from becoming even warmer. Lastly but equally importantly, it also has an important effect on natural blonde hair, that can lose its shine and vitality due to external elements, such as UV rays, chlorine, salt, and hard water, restoring its luminosity.
