Wound CAARE is developing Seal Safe, a novel drape technology designed to enhance the reliability of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). Seal Safe uses color-changing pigment to provide patients and clinicians with a clear, immediate visual indication of leaks, making it easier to identify and patch problem areas. In its uniform, transparent state, Seal Safe also confirms proper adherence of the drape to the skin. Since clinicians report that leaks occur in nearly every NPWT patient, Seal Safe aims to save time, reduce costs, and improve outcomes by streamlining leak detection and maintenance for both patients and providers. At NeoMate, we’re redefining neonatal care by minimizing invasiveness and enhancing nursing efficiency in glucose monitoring. Our novel innovation is a non-invasive glucose monitor that leverages near-infrared (NIR) light to detect glucose levels by analyzing the light not absorbed by glucose molecules. Designed for continuous use, our device delivers up to 6 hours of real-time data, reducing nurse workload by 50% and ensuring reliable measurements, even during shift transitions. By eliminating the need for up to 8 painful heel pricks each day, NeoMate provides a gentle, more efficient alternative for both neonates and their care teams.

EntryWave Access is designing a compact cordless laparoscopic trocar and obturator system to benefit procedures within the field of minimally invasive surgery. Our product, the Marlin System, eliminates the need for a laparoscope upon initial entry into the abdomen while still allowing for direct visualization during port placements. The obturator is bladed to reduce the effort required to insert the trocar through the tougher layers of the abdominal wall and includes enhanced ergonomics, unlike other optical trocar systems currently on the market. We are currently seeking clinical and industry contacts from leaders in the field.
