A DECATE OF GREAT CRAFT BEER AND A DECATE OF SERVICE It’s hard to believe that this year marks the brewery’s 10th anniversary. From the earliest days of daydreaming about opening a brewery while we were stationed in the mountains of Afghanistan, Matt and I always wanted this business to be something bigger, something more profound than just beer. We knew that it had to make a difference. We felt that the community was in need of a new generation of leadership that would prioritize people over profits and community over consumerism. With this belief in mind, we rented a small garage on Lower Newton Street in St Albans, built a brewhouse from old maple sugaring equipment, and threw ourselves headlong into the business of craft brewing.

To say we are proud of what our team and community have accomplished in the last 10 years would be an understatement.

While Matt and I continue to actively serve our country, our team at the brewery crafted unbelievably great beer while creating countless amazing experiences and opportunities for our community to get involved and make the community a better place.

From mobilizing the “14th Star Army” to clean up the downtown during Green Up Day to raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for veteran and community non-profits, our team has embodied our motto that we are “Brewed with a Mission.”

That’s not to say that the last ten years have been smooth sailing - far from it! We’ve made huge mistakes and have weathered setbacks. We’ve banded together to combat the ongoing pandemic and our team is stronger than ever. But nothing worth doing is ever easy, so we look to the past difficulties as fuel for the fire.

And we’re launching into our second decade with both barrels blazing.

What does that mean for the craft beer-loving community? Simply put: more of what you love from 14th Star! We’re retooling our core lineup of beers to be more relevant and exciting while maintaining the consistency and quality for which we’re known. We’re renovating our packaging and in-house experience to better reflect WHO we are and WHY we do what we do.

We’re hitting the streets and our retail partners with a bigger presence and better sales support. Finally, we’re going to continue our decade-long service to others - the veteran and local communities alike, and continue to show our fellow local businesses that there is more to being a small Vermont business than spreadsheets and bottom lines.

We are, and continue to be, “Brewed with a Mission.” That mission is to build our community through the power of the world’s greatest craft beer.

Being the best partner in Vermont alongside our wholesale partner Farrell Distributing, out-of-state wholesale partners, the retail landscape, the hospitality sector, veterans, and selected non-profits we have committed to. Along with our local neighbors and retailers who we will stand by, and folks who call our brewery home.

Creating a taproom experience with elevated marketing platforms, along with our creative designer David Rheaume that reflects and showcases our past 10 years, while building the future of where we are going as a company for our wholesalers, retailers, and consumers. This includes nurturing our amazing front-of-house team who represent our brand to guests far and wide creating the best customer experience and memories when beer lovers choose to join us for an evening out.

We will be dedicated to our employees and support each other at all times, alongside Jackie Hawkins our CFO/ HR manager leading the charge. Taking lead on creating, and hopefully inspiring what a brand ambassador is for the 14th Star Brewing Company.

Our Tribute Double IPA is a celebration of hops! A smooth malt backbone allows 5 different hop varieties to steal the show with bright flavors and aromas of pine, fresh citrus, and pineapple.

BREAKFAST STOUT An Oatmeal Stout brewed with local maple syrup and cold brew coffee — our Maple Breakfast Stout has flavors and aromas of dark malts, coffee, and maple.

CITRANADE HAZY DOUBLE IPA

Pull the tab and brace yourself for a hop-splosion! Citranade is a hazy New England Style Double IPA dryhopped with an abundance of Citra hops for a pleasant bitter bite and sweet aromatics.

VALOR

HOPPY AMBER ALE Brewed with four American hop varieties, Valor is a hoppy Amber Ale balanced with citrusy hop flavor and aroma, clean bitterness, and a slight caramel sweetness.

RECRUIT GOLDEN ALE
