Health Choose exercises that you like
One of the biggest mistakes people make when looking to improve their fitness in the New Year is that they see it as a burden rather than something they can enjoy. As a result, they jump straight in and start going through the motions, doing an activity that they don’t really like. They then quickly lose enthusiasm and end up quitting way before they achieve their fitness goals.
Your New Year fitness action plan
The good news is that there are plenty of different exercise options available and if you take the time to look at them all properly, you can easily find some that you like. For example, if you’re a fan of more traditional exercise options, exercise classes, working out at the gym and swimming are all good choices. If you’re a sporty person, then taking up your favourite sport is a perfect way to keep fit. If you prefer exercising outside, cycling, jogging and walking are all excellent choices. If you’d rather workout in the comfort of your own home, bodyweight workouts, workout DVDs and even fitness themed video games are all great ways to do this. So, before you actually start exercising, take the time to think about what you enjoy doing and then base your workouts around that. By doing this you’ll have much more fun as you work towards achieving your fitness goals and be much more likely to stick with them.
Make sure you incorporate cardiovascular and resistance training
8
Once you’ve chosen some exercises you like, you then need to make sure that the exercises you’ve selected will improve both your your cardiovascular fitness and your strength. If not, you then need to modify your workouts slightly, so that you’re targeting both these areas. Doing this isn’t difficult and if you get creative, any exercise can be modified so that it improves both your cardiovascular fitness and your strength. Jogging, for example, is a cardiovascular exercise but by stopping at regular intervals and performing Please mention Inside Skegness Magazine when responding to advertisements
push ups, squats and other bodyweight exercises, you can build strength in all your muscles. Weightlifting is a resistance based exercise but by performing some lighter sets at a faster pace with more repetitions, you can get your heart pumping and target your cardiovascular fitness too. So, whatever exercises you have chosen, make sure they’re giving you an effective cardiovascular and resistance based workout and if they don’t, get creative and modify them so that they do.
Have a backup plan
After you’ve completed the three steps above, the only thing that’s left to do is formulate a backup plan. Life is full of unexpected events and even with the best laid plans, things can come up that prevent you from working out in the way you had planned. For example, you may be kept behind at work and miss your pre-planned evening workout or your gym may be temporarily closed at short notice which means you no longer have access to your preferred workout location. Therefore, it’s essential to have a backup plan. To formulate your backup plan, start by looking at your list of preferred exercises and come up with some alternatives. For example, if your preferred exercises are gym based, try learning a few bodyweight exercises that you can do at home, just in-case you can’t make it to the gym. If outdoor exercises such as cycling and jogging are your favourite, consider getting an exercise bike or treadmill for the days when the weather is really bad.
Decide on your best times to work out
After you’ve chosen some exercises you enjoy and made sure that they enhance both your cardiovascular fitness and your strength, the next step is to decide when you’re actually going to do them. No matter how effective or how enjoyable your workout routine is, if you don’t make it part of your schedule, you’re much less likely to follow through with it. To fit your workout into your schedule, start by deciding how many times per week you can realistically workout. For example, if you have two very busy days during the week where it’s unlikely that you’re going to be able fit a workout in, four workouts per week is a realistic number which also gives you some flexibility should something come up during the week. Once you know how many times per week you can realistically workout, then decide which time of day is best for you. For example, if you’re not a morning person, working out in the evening may be the best choice for you. However, if your energy levels tend to lapse during the evening, getting your workout in first thing may work better for you. Alternatively, if you have a block of free time in the middle of most days, a midafternoon workout may be optimal.
After you’ve come up with your alternative exercises, then plan in a couple of alternative days or times that you can workout. Then if something unexpected does come up and makes you miss a pre-planned workout, you can still fit that workout in at another time during the week.
Summary
One of the reasons many people fail when it comes to improving their fitness in the New Year is that they don’t make a plan that’s right for them. Instead, they copy what other people are doing, quickly lose their enthusiasm and then quit. With the help of our New Year fitness action plan you can formulate a plan that’s right for you, enjoy your fitness and achieve all your goals. So, if you haven’t started already, get some exercises chosen, put together your workout plan and make this your fittest, healthiest year to date. To advertise text ADVERT to: 07868 433 225

What do your stars have in store for you in the coming year?
LIBRA
(September 23 - October 22)
This will prove to be an extremely romantic year for those born under the sign of Libra. You will experience excellent compatibility with loved ones, and in partnerships there are going to be some very happy times. Even if you are not feeling on top of the world at the beginning of the year, by the end of it you will find that you have a real skip in your step.
SCORPIO
(October 23 - November 21)
2019 will be a year where you look to the future. You will be in a positive frame of mind and ready to embrace the changes that come your way. If you have stagnated in the past, then this is most likely going to be the year when you have a focus. It is a time for making plans for the future and looking forward, not back, while remaining upbeat in the face of adversity and opposition.
SAGITTARIUS
(November 22 - December 21)
You may well find yourself overseeing changes in the forthcoming calendar year. There could be a significant career change which will engender a feeling of excitement and positivity. CAPRICORN
(December 22 - January 19)
2019 could prove rather slow moving for you and you might find yourself thinking of ways to speed things up. If you have time on your hands, why not inprove your own personal skill set through additional training. Since you dislike being idle, you could find much enjoyment in embarking on a new training course. This in turn could spark off new professional opportunities in the year ahead.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18) Aquarians could find that 2019 will give an opportunity to focus on hobbies and interests. You will be physically active, enjoying both your work and your home life. For single Aquarians, there could be the beginnings of a new romance. For those already in partnerships you will feel happy and content and the communication between the two of you will be excellent.
PISCES
(February 19 - March 20)
You may find yourself in a more reflective state this year. You will be very intuitive and in touch with other people’s emotions as well as your own. It could be a very mystical time for some Pisceans, where spirituality is likely to be the main focus. You will be generous with your time and ready to tackle your own personal problems in a more grounded and mature way. To advertise text ADVERT to: 07868 433 225

New Year
Gardening tips January might be the middle of winter and usually the coldest month but as the days lengthen, the garden starts to grow. Now is a great time to plan for the coming gardening year and to order seeds and plants. Enjoy the fresh air, on dry sunny days, and check your winter protection, stakes, ties and supports are still working after any severe weather. Also put out food for birds and leave some garden areas uncut, a little longer, to provide shelter for wildlife in your garden.
Lawns
Watch your lawn for signs of waterlogging, as the weather gets wetter. If you missed the opportunity to carry out autumn lawn maintenance, then you can still remedy the situation a bit, by spiking the lawn with a garden fork or mechanical aerator. Then fill the holes with a mixture of sharp sand and loam, brushed in using a stiff broom. If your lawn suffers dieback from treading during the wet, muddy season, then consider laying stepping-stones through it to allow easy access across it without causing damage.
Trees and shrubs
This is the last chance to sow seeds that need frost in order to germinate (such as native tree and shrub seeds, and alpine plants). Rake up any winter debris and leaves off your borders to keep them tidy. Clear up any weedy beds ready for mulching in the spring. Keep tubs and containers tidy, cutting back and removing debris regularly. They can be mulched with compost or grit. Grit is aesthetically pleasing, and will reduce the surface puddling that can occur when light composts are beaten into a solid ‘cap’ by raindrops. Raise patio containers onto feet or bricks, if you have not done so already, to avoid them sitting in the wet.
Gardening tip
In warmer zones, protect tender trees and shrubs from surprise frosts by covering them with burlap draped over a simple wooden frame or plant stakes. Motoring review
In association with
Most economical family cars
W
ith the price of fuel as high as it is, many buyers will be on the lookout for the most economical family cars available. Luckily, modern engineering means we don’t have to buy tiny cars to cut down on our motoring bills; there are lots of practical family hatchbacks and saloon cars with fuel-efficient engines.
1 Toyota Prius hatchback
The Toyota Prius has now been on the roads for more than two decades and in that time it has been Toyota’s flagship for hybrid technology. It’s clearly a success, because owners rated its fuel economy and running costs top in our 2018 Driver Power survey. One Prius driver told us they regularly achieve 70mpg and that their trips to the petrol station have halved. Officially the Prius is claimed to return 83.1mpg, with emissions of 78-82g/km of CO2. It also makes a good family car thanks to a generously proportioned interior and decent 363-litre boot. Its CVT automatic gearbox makes light work of stop start driving too, making the Prius ideal for urban driving.
2 Honda Civic hatchback
Honda’s engineers have worked very hard to tweak the Civic’s 1.6-litre diesel engine for fuel economy, and the results are sensational. Figures of 81mpg and 92g/km of CO2 will bring down bills and even make family driving
holidays a fair bit cheaper. Despite being so thrifty, the engine also has plenty of punch and the Civic is great to drive. Its fastback shape and spoilers also hide a cavernous 420 litre boot, putting rivals like the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus to shame. Owners also score the Civic very top for servicing costs, so you shouldn’t face nasty bills.
3 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid
It hasn’t quite beaten the Prius, but considering the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid is in its first outing, it has done very well. Like the Toyota, it uses a petrol engine coupled with an electric motor, a small battery pack and automatic gearbox. Economy figures are virtually identical to the Prius too, so it’s easy to be tempted by the Hyundai’s cheaper price. Rear passenger space is a little tight for taller occupants due to the Ioniq’s aerodynamic roofline, but the 443-litre boot pips the Prius for space.
4 Peugeot 308 hatchback
Like the Honda Civic, the most economical version of the Peugeot 308 relies on a conventional diesel instead of a hybrid – but the 84mpg figure possible in the BlueHDi 130 is far from normal. Even with passengers on board you should expect 50-60mpg in typical driving conditions, helping the 308 go further on a tank of fuel. The i-Cockpit digital dashboard and compact steering wheel can take a bit of getting used to, but the 308 drives smoothly enough to keep backseat passengers happy.

5 Citroën C4 Cactus hatchback
The Citroen C4 Cactus might look a little like a small SUV, but its lightweight bodywork and efficient 1.6-litre BlueHDi diesel help it return 83.1mpg on the combined cycle. That’s all the more impressive considering the Cactus is one of the cheapest cars on this list. A recent set of upgrades has seen safety improved (autonomous emergency braking is now standard) and new suspension fitted to most versions that’s designed to soak up bumps to give a ‘magic carpet’ ride.
6 Ford Focus hatchback
The latest Ford Focus features numerous fuel-saving tricks, including cylinder deactivation for its three-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engines – a world first on such an engine. The 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel is the economy star, though, managing up to 80.7mpg. Elsewhere, the Focus looks fresh inside and out and is packed with new technology. The infotainment system is more like a tablet device than ever and there are trim levels from the sporty ST Line to the luxurious Vignale. Ford has improved space in the rear seats by increasing knee and shoulder room, and the boot now measures 375 litres – just five off that of the Volkswagen Golf.
7 Volkswagen Passat saloon
While large family cars once tended to be pricey to run, modern engines and improved aerodynamics, tyres and gearboxes have since allowed them to challenge many smaller models for fuel economy. The Volkswagen Passat 1.6 TDI BlueMotion is one of the best examples, returning up to 76mpg thanks to its finely tuned engine. It’s still a spacious car for adults in the front and rear seats, with a 586-litre boot designed to swallow suitcases for trips to the seaside. The Volkswagen Passat Estate is even more commodious and there’s also a plug-in hybrid model if you don’t fancy a diesel.
8 Kia Niro SUV
The Kia Niro shares its engine, electric motor and battery with the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid, but it’s dressed in a fashionable crossover suit. This chunky styling and a raised roof benefits kerb appeal and gives the Niro a roomy and airy interior, but it also hurts fuel economy slightly. Still, 74.3mpg is hardly thirsty and the Kia Niro has proved a real hit with owners, coming second overall in our 2018 Driver Power survey. Niro drivers particularly love its user-friendly infotainment system, interior and comfortable seats, as well as excellent visibility for parking.
9 Skoda Superb hatchback
Get in the back of a Skoda Superb and your feet can barely touch the seat in front, and that’s when you’re an adult – for kids the experience is like being driven to school in a limousine, such is the amount of space on offer. It’s a big car, but not strictly a saloon thanks to its handy hatchback boot. Open it and the boot is even bigger than the Volkswagen Passat’s, measuring 625 litres. Yet despite this opulence, the 1.6-litre diesel fitted in the Superb Greenline model can return up to 76.4mpg while emitting just 95g/ km of CO2, making it an ideal family car even if it’s also for business use.
10 BMW 3 Series saloon (2011-2018)
It might be a surprise to find the desirable BMW 3 Series executive saloon on a list of economical family cars, but BMW’s engineers make some of the best diesel engines available. The BMW 320d ED (for Efficient Dynamics) returns 65.7mpg yet has a punchy 161bhp, giving it excellent fuel-efficiency and performance. While the 3 Series has previously received criticism for being too cramped in the back and rather firm over bumps, the current model fixed these flaws. Adults can now sit in the back and passengers will have a smoother experience too.

Neighbourhood Corner Hello Readers, Happy New Year!! Many of you will have made New Year resolutions and no doubt for some of you your resolution will involve exercise. Maybe that new bike you got for Christmas is ready for a spin? Well just remember when you go out on it to take a good lock with you in case you need to leave your bike somewhere. Opportunist bike thieves are on the lookout for those precious gifts so don’t let yours become their latest ill gained treasure!! Advice on good locks can be sought from your local cycle shop. Skegness Neighbourhood Policing Team holds regular engagements at Barratt Court, Lancaster Avenue and Skegness Library so pop in and treat yourself to a bike chip. Engagement times and dates can be found on Barratt Court Police office door or by asking at the library. This time of year a good set of lights for your cycle is imperative. Cycling at night without lights is illegal and could attract a fixed penalty notice as could cycling on the pavement. And finally but most importantly, from a safety perspective don’t forget your helmet!! We can all recount horror stories of cyclists involved in accidents whilst not wearing a helmet! For joggers, runners and walkers invest in a good head torch and reflective clothing if out at night and some nice day-glo clothing if out enjoying the cold, crisp Winter days. Be seen, stay safe and good luck on your new exercise regime! on Twitter @CBMSkeg for more news and updates

How to avoid falling off the Dry January wagon
H
ave you started on the Dry January challenge this month? 1 in 6 Britons start on the Dry January challenge, with 62% of people saying they had better sleep and 49% saying they lost weight. Those who complete the challenge are more likely to reap the benefits up to six months after, by consuming less and becoming better at saying no to alcohol. But how can you make sure you succeed? Here are seven ways to help you through the month…
4. Hold the phone
The proof’s in the pudding with the Dry January & Beyond app. Download it to find out how many calories and how much cash you’re saving by doing Dry January.
2. Create a mantra
79% of people said they saved money during Dry January, and with three glasses of wine per week setting you back as much as £18, it’s no surprise. Put the money you save on booze into a savings fund and watch the pennies add up, then spend it on your reward at the end of the month.
6. Do it for good
Ask people to sponsor you throughout the month by signing up with Alcohol Concern – knowing you’re helping others by ditching the booze is great motivation. Plus, advertising the fact to so many people on your social channels means you’ll feel the pressure to keep it up.
1. Do it properly Sign up to the Dry January campaign online and you’ll receive email support with tips and motivation from the experts to complete the challenge. As a reward for not hitting the pints, you’ll also receive weekly discount codes from Groupon, so you can try out new restaurants, beauty treatments and fitness classes.
5. Tot up the savings
7. Go out sober There are also alcohol-free recipes and workouts to try. Watching your waistline shrink is a great incentive to keep going.
If you’re ditching the alcohol but afraid you’ll miss going out, try a sober morning rave (no, we’re not joking), a sober night club or a zero alcohol bar – Redemption Bar in London, Sobar in Nottingham or The Brink in Liverpool are all alcoholfree zones.
Set yourself a little reminder every day by keeping a post-it on your fridge or computer screen with ‘I’m doing DryJanuary’ or ‘I don’t drink’. This can be a really powerful trick as you’re less likely to be tempted by a postwork tipple and can start every day with your new mantra.
3. Buddy up
If working out with a friend means you push yourself harder and are more likely to stick to your workout sessions, the same can be said with doing Dry January. People who take part with a family member or friend are more likely to succeed – if one of you feels a wobble, the other is there to help you to keep on track.

Fitness
The bodyweight workout
A
part from being versatile and fun, the most attractive element of strength training that uses just your bodyweight is the convenience element. All you need is a space in your home, garden, the local park, beach etc and the willingness to do the exercises. That’s it. No equipment or major travelling is required and it’s easy to pull together an effective programme that suits you and your fitness targets.
Quality over quantity As in all things fitness you need to have a plan. What do you want to achieve? Are you looking to strengthen one particular part of your body? What are your specific postural and fitness requirements? The best place to start is to seek professional advice and research various exercises before you get going. Don’t fling yourself into a hardcore session without knowing what you’re doing. You don’t want to pull a muscle or tear a ligament because you were under prepared or simply unaware of the correct technique. Get someone to show you the best exercises for you and watch workouts online.
42
Good technique is essential if you are to avoid injury or imbalances. And remember quality not quantity is king here. The amount of reps you can do is not important, but doing them properly is.
Bodyweight workout
There are a huge range of bodyweight exercises that you can try, all with slight variations, but the following suggestions will give you a few broad ideas. This session contains all the ingredients for a total body workout, targeting all the major muscles and giving the heart and lungs some training too. You can build a great six-pack, chest, lean muscular legs and train all around the body, simply with the exercises below, varying the number of repetitions as you build up. Warm-up: Walking, jogging, running, stair-climbing (anything that gets you slightly breathless, elevates your heartrate and prepares you for your main session). Legs: Bodyweight squats, lunges, stepups and pistols (one-legged squats). Chest and triceps: Press-ups (varying the position of your hands to target different areas of the chest), tricep dips. Upper back, shoulders and biceps: Pull-ups, dips, side plank, mountain climbers.
Stomach and abdominal muscles: Sit-ups, flutter kicks, bicycle kicks. Lower back: Back extensions, supermans, bridges. Core Muscles (Deep postural muscles which wrap around your body which give you support and keep you upright): The plank, shoulder taps, mountain climbers. Cool-down: Easy walking to relax and bring your heart rate down. Flexibility: Five to 10 minutes spent carrying out some light stretching.
Sets, repetitions and progression
A repetition is one complete execution of an exercise, for example: one pressup. A set is a number of repetitions, for example: 10 press-ups. When you have warmed-up, try doing one set of approximately 10 repetitions of each exercise. As your strength develops you can experiment by completing more repetitions or doing two or more sets with a short recovery in between. Another variation is to do two complete sets of the exercises, with a short walk, jog or run in between, combining a resistance session with cardiovascular training. Always remember to cool down with some flexibility exercises to reduce any post-exercise stiffness the following day.

Pets Corner
How to care for tropical fish You’ve been eyeing the lovely aquarium of tropical fish at a friend’s house or even your dentist’s office, and now you’re thinking you’d like one of your own. If you choose the types of fish carefully, tropical fish are great pets for almost any household. There’s a trick to keeping a beautiful tank of tropical fish. Here it is, in a nutshell: l Start
with a freshwater tank of 20-50 gallons; it up with the gravel, filter, plants, “cycling” fluid, rocks, and so on before choosing your fish; l Allow it to sit and “age” for at least a week; l Choose an appropriate number of small river fish; l Do routine maintenance regularly, instead of waiting for something to go wrong. l Set
River fish are the easiest to keep healthy in a small body of water such as an aquarium. Most popular lake and marine fish need the water conditions to remain perfectly stable. River fish can handle fluctuations in acidity and temperature more easily than the others. As a result, adding water to the tank each week or two is less of a risk, and you’re less likely to kill your fish by changing the medium in the filter, and a heatwave or sudden winter “cold snap” will be less likely to make your fish sick. Starting with small fish (specifically, small fish that will stay small) makes sense unless you can afford a truly gigantic tank. Most popular fish need to live in groups, and the fastest way to a smelly, unhealthy mess of a tank is to overcrowd it. One inch of fish-length per gallon of water is a good rule of thumb.
Essential equipment
The bare essentials for keeping tropical fish looks like quite a list, but any pet shop that deals in pet fish will have almost everything you need: l Tank
and canopy with light, usually sold as a set; enough for a depth of at least an inch (2.5cm) in
l Gravel,
44
the front and three inches (7cm) in the back; filter and filter media (which might or might not need a separate water pump), often sold as part of a set with the fish tank; l Water thermometer and water heater; l Rocks or ceramic tank ornaments for the fish to hide in or behind (you’ll see them more often if they know they can hide); l Fish food; l “Cycling” fluid, which sets up the essential bacteria in the water before the fish move in; l Water conditioning fluid, which “takes out” the chlorine and chloramines from tap water; l Fish net of appropriate size for your fish; l Siphon and hose, to “vacuum” the gravel, and a clean bucket that has never had soap in it (traces of soap will destroy your fishes’ gills) for water changes. l Water
Feeding
A high-quality package of tropical fish food and a package of bloodworms or tubifex worms will keep your fish fed. Start by giving them just enough to gobble down in two minutes. It is safer to give them too little than too much. You can always add more. Fish food goes stale relatively quickly, so choose a small package and replace it as it runs low every few months.
Cleaning and tank maintenance
Siphon out some water each week, using the siphon to pull up the debris that accumulates at the bottom of the “slope” at the front of the tank. Count on changing at least two gallons per week. For larger tanks, more is better to a point, but don’t change more than a quarter of the water at once. It’s important to make sure the water you put back in isn’t too cold and doesn’t have chlorine in it. Filling the bucket and letting it sit overnight will usually do the trick. Otherwise, use some water conditioner, and let it sit half an hour before pouring the water into the tank. Rinse or replace the filter media each week, as well. The filter package will tell you how to clean the particular type you have.

Top New Year Resolutions The start of every New Year brings with it a lot of celebrations, love, hopes and, most importantly, resolutions - promises we make to ourselves only to break them later, more often than not. The beginning of a year seems like the best time to turn over a new leaf and start afresh. Here is a list of the most popular resolutions that people make each year – whether they keep them or not is another matter:
have started doing well at work. However, most of us do not want to make that sacrifice because, after all, what is the point of a career when you don’t have the time for your loved ones? Hence maintaining a better work-life balance is always one of the most popular resolutions.
Lose weight: Each year, especially after the giant
we all dream of and contributing to that effect is something we all hope to do. Spend time to teach an underprivileged child, be part of a neighborhood cleanliness drive or get involved with a charity of your choice. However small our role is, it still makes a difference.
Christmas binge-fest people start realizing that they need to start living healthier lifestyles. In fact, a lot of gyms offer promotional deals at the start of a year and it has been noted that the subscription and attendance rates increase by almost 60% each January, only to fall back to normal by February.
Drink less:
Especially after the huge New Year festivities (and possibly the hellish morning after) drinking less seems like the best idea ever. However, when you go back to work the next day or Saturday finally arrives, the “Best Idea Ever” may well turn into “Maybe Next Year”
Sign up for something new: The best part of
starting something new is that it is always exciting and exhilarating. No matter what you do, whether it’s learning a new language or taking cooking lessons, it always gives you something to look forward to.
Stop smoking: This is what every smoker dreams of - to be magically rid of this lifeconsuming addiction and wake up in the New Year feeling healthy and cleansed. It is probably this hope which drives some to make this particular resolution each year. And it is the lack of foresight to follow this through which leads to only 15% of people sticking to the resolution, even after 6 months.
Volunteer: Making the world a better place is what
Save more: By the end of each month, we are all faced with the greatest mystery of the world. Where did my wages go? Takeaways, parties
and buying things that we don’t need apparently. Many people make this resolution with the aim of curbing their excesive spending habits.
Get organized: According to Feng Shui, if your home or workplace is cluttered, then so is your mind. Many of us will take this as a cue to de-clutter and be more organized.
Read more: Who doesn’t want to go to a party or
other social event and talk at length about the books that they have recently read? Hence, the resolution to read more and increase your knowledge base, widen your horizons and push your intellectual boundaries.
Keep your resolutions: The most important, and
perhaps the most common and necessary one, is the resolution to keep your resolutions. If this is executed well, you’ll have nothing to worry about!
Better work-life balance: It’s said that the minute your personal life goes down the drain it means you

It made it interesting with articles rather than just adverts. There were many businesses in there I wasn’t aware of.

By Chloe Sullivan 1. What is Medical Negligence?
I often get asked the question ‘What is Medical Negligence or what is it that you do’? Put simply, I help injured patients receive compensation when they have received a substandard level of care by their treating health professional. That health professional could be a Doctor, Consultant, Surgeon, Nurse or even a Dentist. The idea behind being able to pursue a claim when you have been the victim of medical negligence is to put you, as the injured patient, back in to the position you otherwise would have been had that negligence not occurred. Compensation and rehabilitation helps to put measures in place for those living with permanent injuries Email: info@roseplumbingco.co.uk and provides security for the future. Common cases of negligence include failure to diagnose, delays in treatment, failure to treat, birth injuries, surgical injuries and prescription errors.

2. How to Make a Claim
If you think you have a medical negligence claim, firstly you must talk to one of our specialist Solicitors who will advise you on whether the claim has merit or not. Our Solicitors offer free consultations and you are under no obligation to continue with the claim if you do not feel it is right for you. It is important however that you contact our Solicitors as early as possible as there are strict time limits & Exhaust Centre when bringing a claim for medical negligence. We often begin the process by helping you draft a letter of complaint. Once you have received a response, your medical records will be gathered and reviewed by a team of medical expertsl who will then advise us on the extent of the negligent treatment and what injuries this has caused you. Your Solicitor will then put forward your case and liaise with your opponentlwhilst aiming to negotiate a settlement between the parties.
MOT Exhausts Batteries Brakes 3. Is making a claim justifi able? l Balancing Alignment It is not uncommon for people to feel a sense of guilt when
bringing a claim against an institution like the NHS which is considered a ‘national treasure’ vital to our country. However, when negligence arises and people are injured as a result, this highlights failures which need to be improved upon to ensure that future mistakes are not made to others. If claims are not pursued, then ongoing mistakes will not be challenged and rectified which could be detrimental to not only the survival of the healthcare sector itself but also those receiving healthcare in the future.
