‘Sultana, today is Monday and I have decided to wear a blue coat. I zipped it up all on my own.’
‘That is very clever Banana. I like your blue coat.’
‘Sultana, it is Tuesday today and I have decided to wear a red coat. I buttoned it up all on my own.’
‘That is very clever Banana. I like your red coat.’
‘Sultana, on Monday I wore a blue coat and on Tuesday I wore a red coat.
Today is Wednesday and I have decided to wear a green coat. I buckled it up all on my own.’
‘That is very clever Banana. I like your green coat.’
‘Sultana, today is Thursday and I have decided to wear an orange coat. I tied the bow all on my own.’
‘That is very clever Banana. I like your orange coat.’
‘Sultana, on Monday I wore a blue coat, on Tuesday I wore a red coat, on Wednesday I wore a green coat and yesterday, Thursday, I wore an orange coat. Today is Friday and I have decided to wear a pink coat. I fastened the poppers all on my own.’
‘That is very clever Banana. I like your pink coat.’
‘Sultana, today is Saturday and I have decided to wear a purple coat. It has no zip, no buttons, no buckles, no bows, and no poppers to fasten it.’
‘How did you fasten it Banana?’
‘Ah, there is a secret to it Sultana. Firstly I pulled the coat over my head, then I put my arms in the sleeves and then I pulled it down.’
‘That is very clever Banana. I like your purple coat.’
‘Sultana, today is Sunday. I have worn a blue coat, a red coat, a green coat, an orange coat, a pink coat and a purple coat. Today I have decided to wear a yellow coat just like me. It has buttons called toggles.’
‘I like your yellow coat Banana. You look just like the sunshine, all yellow.’

I put this jumper on all on my own.
Firstly, I pulled it over my head, then I put my arms in the sleeves and then I pulled it down. And look at the pockets.
I have learnt how to fasten a zip, fasten a button, fasten a buckle, tie a bow and fasten a popper.’
‘That is very clever Sultana. I like your new jumper.’
‘You are my best friend Sultana.’
‘You are my best friend too Banana.’
