Our menus provide nutritionally balanced meals with regional and traditional favorites that will have your scout applauding! All meals are designed for proper nutrition requirements by Jara Bauer, Kandle Dining’s Director of Nutritional Services. She is a Licensed Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Educator. Jara and her staff are available to talk with parents to determine an individualized meal plan.

If you have any food allergies, be sure to fill out a food allergy form during the registration process.

Summer camps, even day camps, are in a separate time and place than a camper’s home environment, as an opportunity for learning during activities and reflection time. Nature-based summer camps are great opportunities to celebrate ways kids connect to the outdoors and help them identify with the importance of nature and the value of preserving the environment. Summer camp experiences foster social-emotional learning that connect campers with skills to thrive in college, career, and in adulthood. Summer camp build skills necessary to prepare youth to assume roles as successful adults. Parents and campers, report growth in self-confidence, independence, making friends, exploring and learning new activities. Indeed, summer camp provides growth experiences for youth that can benefit them through adulthood. *A note about the survey: A generous grant to the American Camp Association from Lilly Endowment Inc. helped support the largest research study of camper outcomes ever conducted in the United States.
