INCREASED TREAD DEPTH
Engineered for longevity, the DX450 has an increased tread depth compared to the previous generation tyre, delivering significantly improved mileage performance and traction control.
OUTER BLOCK SECTION
Solid shoulder blocks and a strong central rib design deliver a stable drive, allowing the driver to concentrate on the job. Heavy-duty shoulder construction delivers a responsive drive even under heavy loads and on challenging surfaces.
SPECIALLY-FORMULATED COMPOUND
The compound formula ensures wear resistance to enhance mileage capabilities even when carrying heavy loads.

DEVELOPMENT TESTING AND
Davanti Tyres has spent years developing the Vantoura commercial tyre range and it has proven its ability to perform across the spectrum of weather conditions.
Benchmarked against both mid-range and premium competitors at Davanti's European Development Centre at Applus IDIADA, the on-road performance of the Vantoura range led the field after a series of challenging tests.
Vantoura DX450 was tested to its limit in a series of standard wet and dry tests, assessing its performance capabilities to ensure that it can deliver optimum mileage, stability and superior handling:

ENGINEERED LONGEVITY FOR
Davanti submitted Vantoura DX450 to DEKRA for open-road wear testing over 20,000km on a mix of motorway and standard roads. DEKRA's evaluation of Vantoura DX450 was conducted using a premium vehicle manufacturer's approved OE testing programme.
TESTING METHODOLOGY
The vehicles run 4 cycles of 5000km on a road route that comprises 45% main road and 55% motorway, in a convoy of 2 vehicles.
Measurements of groove depth and weight of tyres are recorded initially, and at each end of the running cycle.
The wheel alignment of each of the vehicles is checked and adjusted if necessary to bring in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations, before any testing is carried out. It is subsequently checked and adjusted if required during the testing programme.
ROTATION OF TYRES BETWEEN VEHICLES
A rotation of the tyres had been realised between the 2 vehicles of the convoy after 5 shifts.
The tyres kept their position when the vehicles were changed over.
This rotation limits the influence of the differences between the vehicle features on the tyres’ tread wear.

To limit any driver influence, during each shift and in each convoy, drivers periodically changed between the test vehicles.
VEHICLE LOADING
To accurately simulate the typical loading van experiences, care was taken to vary the loading across the test distance.
For 50% of the distance, the loading was 1 driver and 1 passenger, plus 400kg added to the rear. This was an average of 750kg on the front wheels, and 575kg on the rear wheels.
For 50% of the distance, the loading was increased to 800kg per wheel.

TREAD WEAR PROJECTION
Tread lives are calculated by linear regression considering the fastest-wearing groove, where the tread limits are the legal minimums of 1.6mm in the main tread area, and 0mm on shoulders.
36% more mileage than Davanti's previous generation commercial tyre.
