The remote island of Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, and it is considered to be one of the environmentally cleanest areas in Europe.

The island of Sardinia Rugged, isolated, and untamed, Sardinia is perhaps the most mystical and beautiful island in the Mediterranean. Its jagged coastline and granite-mountain highlands also offer some of the most pristine scenery in all of Europe. Smeraldina pure artesian water comes from an underground aquifer 1000 feet under the Mountain of God (Monte di Deu), part of the large granite rock formation of Mount Limbara located in the north-east region of the island.

For hundreds of years the region has been known for the freshness and purity of its waters.

The purity of Smeraldina

• Smeraldina water is extracted deep under an ancient granite rock formation in the Gallura region of Sardinia.

• Granite rock allows rain water to slowly descend through its micro-fractures. Rain water starts its slow process of natural filtration as it goes down through the granite rock.

• Granite natural filtration system is what makes Smeraldina such a unique, clean and light mineral water.

• It takes hundreds of years for rain water to reach the depth from where it is extracted from and, during this time, granite, which is a very hard rock, clears the water of impurities but does not release any sediment.

• Smeraldina water is bottled directly as it comes from the underground aquifer approximately 1000 feet under the Mountain of God.
