With the dry season in full swing, Darwin and the Top End buzz with festivals and events. It’s a time when our population almost doubles, with families and visitors escaping the cold wintry weather of southern Australia. But don’t worry—there’s plenty of room for everyone, as it’s the best time of the year to be outdoors. With minimal humidity, clear sunny days, and refreshing nights, the weather is perfect for a lunch or sunset dinner aboard Darwin Harbour Cruises, glamming up for the month-long racing carnival, enjoying a variety of balls and events under the stars, and indulging in multicultural market delights while watching sizzling colourful sunsets. Check out what’s on, where to go, what to do, and all the best places to shop, wine, dine, and be entertained on the following pages. It’s absolutely the best time to be in Darwin and discover the beautiful Top End, especially at your own pace in a Star RV motorhome.
