LOCATION - GURUGRAM Echo-Echelon is a Hybrid Highrise Building project situated in Golf Course Road, Gurugram. It is derived from nature, as alike forms of natural habitats tend to react to its surrounding constantly by giving and taking simultaneously maintaining an ecological balance in the system. It has a parametric form derived by the combination of natural habitats of the nature. PROJECT NAME - URBAN STUDY OF BAJGHERA| SEP 2021 DEC 2021

• Origami techniques • Paper model making

• Net zero building design

LOCATION - GURUGRAM This project was done under the studio -Dejavu. A thorough urban planning study had been done of the Bajghera Village in Gurugram where lenses such as road networks, infrastructure, demography, open spaces, and topography were researched. To develop the village we tried to achieve its innovation through design by the vision of mobility and sustainability.

The Eco-Echelon tends to react to its climate, wind, heat, precipitation, and user to create a balance within its own minienvironment, in turn, helps create a balance in the Ecosystem. The Structure has large terraces big open spaces, plenty of gathering spaces, and also areas for recreational spaces with the entire complex being accessible from multiple points. It has a parametric form derived by the combination of the MarieSponge and Beehive and the programmatic and spatial arrangement has been made according to the basic fundamental rights of a citizen of India. All in all, Eco-Echelon presents a solution for the Environmental crisis in India and gives a solution to retain Gurugram's lost identity in a modern way.

CONCEPT – AGE OF ECOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH For any human construct to be ecological, the relationship between humans, our architecture, and our environment (nature) needs to be mutually inclusive & symbiotic. There needs to be a balance between consumption and production. We have seen the relationship getting disrupted and imbalanced due to human beings turning into 'consumers.

SUN PATH

•

•

The orientation of GCR is towards the north- south direction. The site receives ample of sunlight and the greens are located towards the southern side of the site.

•

The wind flows from the east direction to the northwest direction at the highest speed

SITE: NEAR PARK DRIVE, GOLF COURSE ROAD, GURUGRAM • •

• •

Site area: 4.50 acres This site is divided by a secondary road. Hence, it is subdivided into 2 plots and has enough amount of green that can be restored and incorporated into the design. Metro nearby Direct connectivity to GCR.

ESTABLISHING ECOLOGICAL HYBRID Ecological hybrids are buildings which implement• clean technologies • minimize environmental impact • reduce energy consumption • improve building management • improve health of users. An ecologically hybrid building works on the notion of consumption and production from and to the nature, respectively.

Proposed Demography

In the proposed urban transit village we speculate that the huge difference between the common and the floating population will reduce to 10% as more migrant workers will be approaching this site for better job opportunities provided by the programs decided. Due to gain in commercial zones no. of workers will be more. There will be rise in the no. of workers and the patriarchal difference will also start diminishing in the working sector.

Since we are proposing an urban setting, it will be an opportunity for the private groups and the govt to build institutions, residential projects, hospitals and commercial centers making it an urban centre with the amalgamation of the existing villages. Therefore, we speculate the population to grow rapidly and increase twice in no. than the existing. Nature Of Community Habitat

PROTOTYPE MECHANISM

Smog-Eating Façades The treatment is a thin layer of titanium dioxide (TiO2), a powder or liquid that can be applied to glass, concrete, metal, or fabric; when sunlight hits the chemically treated surface, a process begins that oxidizes organic matter, turning pollutants into water vapor and CO2. The tiles are designed for absolute material efficiency, exposing more surface area to daylight to activate the pollution-fighting technology.

Integration 1.

The prototype would be integrated into our design in the tunnels

2.

the pathways hence would be open and more prone to the pollution around.

3.

Smog-eating facades have been added to certain parts, that are facing the sun

4.

transparent solar panels have been installed.
