After the classification of images, I had to scan every each of them from the magazines. The next task was to curate and compose the photo gallery - which appears inside the book - together with the main graphic designer and author of the publication, Richard Kučera Guzmán. Together we worked on the concept, in order to divide the images into different categories, such as interior/exte‑ rior, nature/backstage, beauty, portraits, the 1950s, and 1960s. The last task was to present the book on social media, to create “call to action” content for crowd‑ funding, and to communicate with customers and studio partners.
Karol Kállay – Focused on beauty
My main task in the design and creation of the book was to handle the whole process of image edit‑ ing, retouching, post-production. I was also involved in the process of scanning the photographic ma‑ terial, such as black and white me‑ dium format film and 35mm film, medium format diapositives, large black and white prints. Important was to organize the archive of Karol Kállay, therefore, a deep and careful process of re‑ search - through every edition of the Czechoslovak magazine Móda (Fashion) - took place, in order to classify the majority of photos from the photographer’s archive, which were without any name or date.

My task was to manage an In‑ stagram account for the new pub‑ lication “Karol Kállay – Focused on beauty” and promote it in the best way possible. I created various contents for Instagram posts and Instastories for the book promotion, targeted on a selected group of Instagram users. The important was to promote the publication especially while crowdfunding campaign and engage with the audience. One of the ways of getting better im‑ pact and reach, was by creating unique hashtags, which were lat‑ er used by publication’s fans, on their Instagram accounts.

and handwritten text elements. The repetition is emphasized in the captions, which are turned in a 90-degree angle, as well as the separation from the body text. I wanted the captions to stand out in an unusual manner. I created also an event banner for the virtual exhibition, where the publication was part of it.

The catalogue was primar‑ ily created for a virtual pres‑ entation/exhibition and later on re-edited for the printed ver‑ sion, which will be published in November 2020. It connects 3 participants, Tereza Holubová, Teuta Jonuzi, and Jana Siren. Therefore, I decided to underline the number 3 thru the whole book design. The layout is composed in a clean and minimalistic way, with titles, subtitles, and body text fixed in the type area, in contrast to captions and images, which are placed in a free order, not following the grid entirely. I chose a light sans-serif typeface in or‑ der to underline the simplicity and make the whole layout look lighter, in contrast to the images

The banner was designed using the colour palette of the official exhi‑ bition website and presented on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The blurred typogra‑ phy effect represents the idea of uncertainty, as this project had to happen online, in virtual space, as a reaction to Covid-19 crisis restrictions. In this project, my task was to create a set of presentation images for the Slovak architect studio Šercel Švec. The aim was to build the setup matching with the main colours and with the style of the studio. I decided to work with natural brown paper, the material used for the whole design manual. In terms of the composition of photos, I imple‑ mented elements of axonometry, commonly used in architecture.
2020
The most remarkable experience in this project was to stage all printed material and to look for details that would resemble architecture itself.

was given to the geometry and the form of the objects, such as business cards resembling the building itself.

Redesign of the brand visual identity for UĽÚV (The Centre for Folk Art Production)
UĽÚV
My task was to create mockup visuals for the redesign of UĽÚV visual identity. Important was to point at the changes made during the rethinking of the typograph‑ ical concept. As the background colour, I applied the colour pal‑ ette corresponding to the design manual colour palette. The purpose of these mockups was to show - in a clear and direct way - the changes made to the de‑ sign manual. The visual was used for platforms such as Behance, Facebook, Instagram and the stu‑ dio website.

My idea for the website was to create a contemporary design, that would resemble cyber technologies visuals; the background is composed of a dark colour palette, with accents of teal green and turquoise over it. The landing page is delivering a strong and direct message about the prod‑ uct, thanks to the large title. Next el‑ ement on the landing page is the info‑ graphic, designed exclusively for the client, providing more details for the potential customer, in order to help them find a specific service. At the end of the landing page, I decided to add a box for the news/blog, that can be updated on a frequent basis. The product pages of the website were made to achieve clarity. Each one of them contains a series of icons and detailed description of the prob‑ lem that can occur in cybersecurity and how the client can provide a solu‑ tion to it.

The client’s assignment was to create the design manual and web‑ site design. I handled the logotype creation as well as the whole design manual and website design. The logotype was inspired by the word “shell” that comes from the name of the organization Cybeshell. I created two curved lines, that enclose the text part of the logotype, one from the left upper corner and another one from the lower right corner, in the vertical version of the logotype. In the horizontal one, “the shell” is appearing solely in the upper left corner. “The shell” symbol can be connected to the metaphor of se‑ curity, as this organization is pro‑ viding cybersecurity services. The colour palette for the logotype was inspired by the company’s mother organization, in order to be directly recognized.

Redesign for an architecture studio, where the goal was to deliver a more fresh and contemporary look.

My task was to compose the design manual layout and make photographs for it. In the creative process, an important part for me was to get inspired by the cli‑ ent and their architectural studio. Therefore, I worked with the vol‑ ume of paper and build it up in the hight, just like the buildings. Once again, for the compo‑ sition of the design manual el‑ ements, I used the technique of axonometry. Those images can be reused for another project since they are placed on a mockup tem‑ plate that I created for this work. mockups + layouting + retouching + copywriting + photography +

My assignment was to curate the Instagram account @mar‑ tinkallay of the Slovak photogra‑ pher Martin Kállay, where I han‑ dled the whole managing process, creating the content for the feed, personal instastories, developing strategies in order to gain follow‑ ers, communicating with followers and clients via messages. We had consultations twice per week, with weekly and monthly reports about the development of the account. Thanks to my strategy, the ac‑ count growth was fast in a rela‑ tively short period of time. The engagement of the account’s au‑ dience was more and more active with every new post. The content was targeting the right niche of fol‑ lowers, which resulted in various re-shared posts. I kept tracking the account’s an‑ alytics three-times a day, therefore I knew precisely the behaviour of the followers and when to upload the content. For better organiza‑ tion, all the posts were scheduled
